The Trinity is not a puzzle to solve.

It is a relationship to enter.

In today’s Gospel, Jesus doesn't explain how God works.

Instead, he tells us who God is:

A God who loves.

A God who gives.

A God who draws near.

"For God so loved the world..."

Not just part of the world.
Not only the worthy.
Not only those who have it all figured out.

The world.

All of it.

The mystery of the Trinity reminds us that at the heart of God is relationship —
love shared,
love received,
love given away.

And if we are created in the image of God,
then we are created for that kind of love too.

This week, perhaps the invitation is simple:

Receive the love God offers.
Share it generously.

And remember that you are already held within it.

En Pentecostés, el Espíritu Santo hace algo hermoso.

No borra nuestras diferencias.
No nos hace iguales.

Personas de distintos pueblos,
idiomas
y experiencias

The Holy Spirit does something beautiful at Pentecost.

Not sameness.
Not uniformity.

People from different places,
different languages,
different experiences
all hear the good news in a way they can understand.

The miracle is not that everyone becomes the same.

The miracle is that connection becomes possible.

That people can belong to one another
without losing who they are.

This is the Spirit at work:

In communities that make room for everyone.
In conversations that build understanding.
In the courage to welcome, listen, and love across difference.

At Saint Anne, we believe unity does not mean thinking alike, looking alike, or living identical lives.

It means making space for one another with compassion, dignity, and grace.

Pentecost reminds us that the Holy Spirit is still moving —
not pulling us apart,
but drawing us together.

Come, Holy Spirit!

The Ascension is not about Jesus disappearing.

It is about trusting that Christ is no longer confined to one place.

Not distant.
Not removed from the world.
Not somewhere far above us, away from it all.

Christ is among us.

At Saint Anne, we believe that means Christ is present
in community,
in compassion,
in welcome,
and in the work of loving this world well.

This week, perhaps the invitation is simple:
Go where love is needed.
And trust you do not go alone.

There is a song we sing at our 10:30 Mass:
“Jesus, I Trust in You.” by Angus McDonell and Sarah Hart

Simple.
Familiar.
A prayer we return to again and again.

The first verse begins with
“Don't let your hearts be troubled.”

It’s one of those lines we need to hear more than once.
Because life doesn’t always feel clear.
Or easy.
Or certain.

Even the disciples say it out loud:
We don’t know the way.

And Jesus doesn’t give them a roadmap.

He gives them himself.

“I am the way.”

Which means we’re not meant to figure everything out on our own.

We walk together.
We trust.
We take the next step.

Maybe that’s why we keep singing that song.

Not because trust always comes easily
but because we’re learning, little by little, to live it.

This week, perhaps the invitation is simple:
Keep singing it.
Keep praying it.

“Jesus, I trust in you.”

Even when it’s hard.
Even when it’s unclear.

Maybe that’s enough for today.
