Bar Mills Community Church

Bar Mills Community Church Join us on Sunday mornings at 10am for worship. The church was formed May 2, 1868. In 2006, a new church was built on Hermit Thrush Drive.

By 1872, the original structure was moved to a site on the Salmon Falls Rd, Buxton. It has a long history of sharing ministers with nearby churches until 1995 it struck out on its own and became the “Bar Mills Community Church” with members affiliated with the ABCOM. They brought with them the stain glass windows, the bell and the pews. The round stained glass window was also brought and is again

located over the pulpit. The new church featured more parking, a larger sanctuary, bathrooms, kitchen, a nursery, and classroom space. It provides many new and wonderful opportunities for ministry.

The combined choir from our Maundy Thursday Worship Service is comprised of good friends from 5 local churches from the Hollis, Buxton Maine area under the direction of Valerie Messana (at the piano), Music Director of Bar Mills Community Church: Buxton Centre Baptist Church, Tory Hill Meeting House, Buxton United Methodist Church, Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Bar Mills Community Church.
