In Daniel 6, we see a man whose consistency with God did not change—even when the consequences did.

Daniel did not begin praying when the trial came. He was already faithful before the decree was signed, and he remained faithful after. His enemies knew exactly where to find him—on his knees before God.

Too often, we treat faithfulness as something we turn on in hard times. But Daniel reminds us that real devotion is steady, daily, and rooted long before the lions’ den ever appears.

When the pressure comes, we don’t rise to the occasion—we fall back on our habits.

So the question is simple: What are we doing today that prepares us to stand tomorrow?

“For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.”— 2 Corinthians 11:2 (KJV)

In this chapter, Paul expresses a deep concern for the believers at Corinth. Like a faithful friend guarding a bride before her wedding, he wanted the church to remain pure in their devotion to Christ.

Paul knew there were false teachers trying to corrupt their minds and draw them away from the simplicity that is in Christ. The same danger exists today. Many voices compete for our attention, but Christ desires our wholehearted loyalty.

The Christian life is not about complicated religion—it is about a sincere, faithful relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tonight as we gather for Bible study in 2 Corinthians 11, may our hearts be reminded to stay faithful, keep our focus on Christ, and guard our minds from anything that would draw us away from Him.

“The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.” — Psalm 23:1

As the day comes to a close, this simple truth settles our hearts. The same Lord who guided your steps today watches over your rest tonight. You may feel the weight of unfinished tasks or lingering concerns, but the Shepherd does not clock out at sundown. He knows what you need before you ask, and He supplies grace for both the labors of the day and the stillness of the night.

Evening reminds us that we are not sustained by our own strength. Just as the body requires sleep, the soul requires trust. Lay your burdens down, knowing that the One who keeps Israel “shall neither slumber nor sleep” (Psalm 121:4). Rest is an act of faith—confidence that God is at work even when you are not.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:" - Ephesians 2:8 (KJV)

Grace is God's unmerited favor shown to those who do not deserve it and cannot earn it. Grace is also often remembered by turning it into an acrostic: God's Riches At Christ's Expense. We were helpless in our sin, unable to reach God by our own works or goodness. Yet the Lord, rich in mercy, reached down to us through Jesus Christ. Salvation is not a wage we earn, but a gift freely given.

This same grace that saves us also sustains us. When trials weigh heavily, when temptations press hard, when weakness overwhelms, God whispers, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness" (2 Corinthians 12:9). Grace is not just for the beginning of the Christian life; it is the power that carries us each day.

Let us live humbly, thankful for such grace, and extend grace to others as we walk in the footsteps of Christ.

Let us say "Thank you, Lord, for your amazing grace that saved me and keeps me. Help me to rest in your sufficiency and reflect your grace to those around me."
