Tu’ bishvat Sedar! Sunday, Feb. 1 at 11am

Please let email the synagogue know if you are coming to celebrate with us and if you are able to contribute any of the needed fruits, nuts or juices:

This is our fun-filled Seder with lots of singing and eating so many delicious fruits and nuts!

The three groups of fruits and nuts are:
1) Hard outside/soft inside - oranges, bananas, mango, kiwi, walnuts, almonds and pistachios.
2) Soft outside/hard inside - dates, olives, apricots, peaches, avocados and cherries.
3) All edible - all berries, figs, pears, apples, cranberries and raisins.
4) Juice - purple and white grape juice.

Please have all fruits washed, cut up, and ready to put on platters.

Hey All! The Butler Library is sponsoring an incredible program: Stories of Exile, focusing on the European, Yiddish culture, featuring book discussions by Yiddish writers (translated into English). The next discussion is Wed., Feb. 21` at 6 PM, at the Butler Library.

We'll discuss the short fiction of Chana Rosenfarb, one of the important important Yiddish writers on the 20th Century. A survivor of the Lodz Getto and of Auschwitz, she settled in Canada and was awarded many prizes. Wednesday, Feb 21 at the Butler Library. Join us!
