Bethany celebrated its 150th Anniversary today! After service we enjoyed a lunch of venison sausage and grilled chicken tenders, sides of mac & cheese with baked beans! A delicious cake was enjoyed by all!

We had two blessed services at Bethany this week.
Tuesday at Ladies Read, special guests representing Hunt with Heart, shared their personal testimony and mission of the organization. Suzanne and Alison spoke of the many ways Hunt with Heart reaches out to families of children with life threatening illnesses by blessing them with amazing outdoor adventures. Songstress Diane Wooten shared her talent with a beautiful song.
Mr. Chad Pinkerton brought the Word from the Word on Sunday morning with an awe inspiring message. Special music by John Langston and Lynda Zajicek was wonderfully Spirit anointed.

Although I did not get pictures of Bethany’s Sunday worship service, I must report a joyous Spirit was present with much rejoicing over personal testimonies of healing and answered prayers. Truly God is blessing the people of His church.
A word from the Word was brought by Deacon Tom Whitesides who spoke on Old Testament prophecies of the coming of Jesus.
During Children’s Church the kids decorated “dinosaur shoes” for their final lesson on the Armor of God.

Sunday was a special service at Bethany. We were blessed to hear an anointed worship song by Diane Wooten. She sang Peace Speaker and truly a beautiful peace from the Lord was felt as she sang. Immediately following the service was the dedication of the new flagpole. American and Texas Flags were presented by Stephanie Schmidt of Woodman Life, Brenham. Stephanie’s husband Travis and her son’s, Hayes and Hondo, joined her at the flagpole. The flagpole was dedicated in memory of Mr. J. P. Stanley Jr. Several members of Mr. Stanley’s family were present for the dedication. His son, Ronnie Stanley, introduced his two aunts Bonnie Langham and Joanne Stanley Williams. It was a very lovely ceremony.

Wonderful service today at Bethany Church.
Brenton Phillips gave an exhortation from the Word on the “Armor of God.” Our children have also been in weekly studies about having the “Armor of God” to win against the tricks of the devil. Uplifing songs were sung, encouraging us to put on the “Armor” in our spiritual walk. God was surely touching our souls today as we worshipped Him!
