It has been a beautiful season having the Player family lead our little rural Kansas church.

They were exactly who we needed for this part of the journey, and today, as our church gathered around them and prayed over them, Ryan said it best:

“God isn’t just in the destination.
He is in the road along the way.”

He walks with us in the middle, in the uncertainty, the surrender and the moments when His path looks different from the one we would have chosen.

The question becomes:
What will I believe?

Your will over my will.

Your path over my plans.

Your way, even when I cannot see where it leads yet.

Player family, thank you for walking this part of the road with us.

You have loved us, led us and left a mark on our church family that will continue long after this season.

We are grateful that God brought our paths together, and we trust He will be faithful in every step ahead. 🤍

This is why we keep going. ❤️

Pastors come and pastors go.

Seasons change.

Things may look a little different.

But there are still kids learning who Jesus is.

There are still families who need a church family.

There are still people in Burrton who need hope.

There are still people who need someone to pray with them, sit beside them, invite them in, and remind them they don’t have to walk through life alone.

Pastor Michael reminded us Sunday:

“The harvest hasn’t changed. The Gospel hasn’t changed.”

Neither has our mission.

Church was never supposed to be something we simply attend on Sunday morning.

We are the church.
The perfect church for imperfect people. 🙌🙏

And there is still plenty of work for us to do together.

You don’t have to have the next chapter figured out to trust the One already there.

Sunday, Pastor Michael said something we want to carry with us:

“You don’t need to know what’s next when you know Who is next.”

There are seasons when we would really like God to hand us the whole plan.

Who.
When.
How.
What happens after this?

But faith has never required us to see the whole road.

It asks us to trust the One leading us down it.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

So while this season may look different, the most important things haven’t changed.

Jesus is still Jesus.

The Gospel is still good news.

There are still people in our community who need hope.

And there is still work for His church to do.

We may not know exactly what’s next.

But we know Who is. ❤️

Seasons change.

People change.

Plans change.

Leadership changes.

But Jesus doesn’t.

Yesterday, Pastor Michael reminded us that when everything around us feels like it’s moving, the church doesn’t have to move with it.

Paul’s words to the Philippians were simple:

Stand firm.
Stay together.
Keep going.

A season of transition doesn’t have to become a season of division.

We can be careful with our words.

We can give each other grace.

We can pray before we assume.

We can keep serving.

And we can remember what we have in common is so much bigger than anything that could divide us.

We have Jesus.

This week, let’s stand firm together. ❤️
