Sunday’s message was a good reminder that before we can lead anyone else, we have to love God personally.

Before God says one word about teaching children, He addresses the heart.

That hits all of us.

Not just fathers.
Not just parents.
All of us.

If our walk with God has grown cold, the invitation is not to pretend harder.

It is to come back and love Him first.

Starting the week grateful.

What a gift to see faith lived out across generations.

One of the strongest reminders from Sunday was this: what we do in our homes and in our everyday lives echoes longer than we think.

We are thankful for the fathers, grandfathers, and men who have loved, led, prayed, served, and helped point others to Jesus.

We are also thankful Rebecca and Emma were with us yesterday. What a blessing to pray over Rebecca, and what a joy to celebrate Emma giving her life to Jesus.

We truly were blessed as we had the chance to bless them.

What a good reminder that God is still moving in our church family.

Happy Father’s Day.

Today we honor the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who love, lead, work hard, and care deeply for their families.

We also know this day can feel different for different people, so we hold space for both gratitude and grief.

We are thankful for the men who continue to show up with faith, strength, and love.

Happy Father’s Day from FCC Burrton.

Saturday is the first day of summer.

Maybe this can be the beginning of something new for you, too.

If you could not join us for FCC Burrton’s 150th celebration, we would love to welcome you this Sunday.

Sorry, there will not be another big anniversary lunch.

But come early for Bible study, grab a seat and meet some new friends.

Last Sunday’s message reminded us that faith was never meant to be practiced alone.

The Psalms of Ascent were road songs, sung by people still in the middle of their journey, putting one foot in front of the other as they traveled toward the place where they would meet with God.

That is what church should be.

People in different seasons, walking together and leading each other home.

We have a good problem.

Our church family is growing, but our fellowship hall is not.

This room has held countless meals, conversations, celebrations and memories.

But when our church gathers today, tables are crowded and many people must navigate stairs to join us.

We want to create a larger, more accessible fellowship hall with room for every generation at the table.

People before us gave so we would have a place to gather.

Now it is our turn to plant for the generations coming after us.

If God places it on your heart to give, please designate your gift to the FCC Burrton Building Fund.

Every gift, no matter the size, helps us create a welcoming and accessible space with room for everyone at the table.

To learn how to give, send us a message or speak with a church leader.
