After COVID, Pastor Ken found himself asking a question that many Christians quietly wrestle with:
"Where can I find a church that teaches God's Word clearly?"
Not louder.
Not trendier.
Not more entertaining.
Just faithful.

What started as a simple Bible study in a home became something none of us could have planned.
5 people became 10.
10 became 25.
Then a vision meeting was held and 70 people showed up.

No marketing campaign.
No growth strategy.
No grand launch plan.

Just people who were hungry for Scripture, discipleship, and a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Looking back, the story isn't really about a church plant.
It's about obedience.
It's about what happens when ordinary people respond to God's prompting and trust Him with the outcome.
And maybe that's why this story resonates with so many people.
Because deep down, many of us are asking:
What would happen if I stopped waiting for certainty and started walking in obedience?

We live in a world that wants everything fast...
Fast answers.
Fast results.
Fast growth.

But the things that matter most rarely happen quickly...
Strong marriages.
Strong families.
Deep faith.

Jesus spent years forming His disciples, not moments...

Maybe spiritual depth isn't found in rushing.
Maybe it's found in faithfully returning to God's Word, day after day, year after year.

Slow doesn't mean stagnant.
Sometimes it means roots are growing.

Somewhere along the way, many people began to assume that speaking truth and showing grace are opposites.

But Jesus never treated them that way. He was full of grace and truth.
He never compromised the truth. And He never used it as a weapon.

As followers of Jesus, we're called to hold our convictions firmly while treating people with dignity, patience, and love.

Not because truth doesn't matter, but because it does.

The goal isn't to win arguments.
The goal is to point people to Christ.

A year ago this church didnt exist...
And it wasn't that someone had a strategic marketing plan to start one or a vision to build something impressive.

It started with a simple hunger for God's Word, for discipleship and for teaching that was rooted in scripture.

So a small group gathered, then more people came.
Not because they were looking for a better production or something new...
But because they were searching for something solid they could build their lives and families on.

That's still who we are today.
A small, growing church full of people who want to know Jesus, understand His Word, and follow Him faithfully.

Families in Chiagoland...The world is loud.
Every day we're being shaped by headlines, opinions, algorithms, and endless content.

But followers of Jesus are called to build their lives on something more stable.

Not every popular idea is true.
Not every loud voice is wise.

The question isn't whether you're being influenced.

The question is...by what?

Followers of Jesus... growth requires wrestling, not spectating.

Some of the deepest moments of growth in Scripture happened when people wrestled.

Jacob wrestled with God.
The disciples wrestled with Jesus' teachings.
The early church wrestled with what obedience looked like in a changing world.

And if we're honest, many of us are wrestling too.

Wrestling with doubt.
Wrestling with culture.
Wrestling with fear.
Wrestling with how to lead our families faithfully.

The goal isn't to avoid the struggle.

It's to let the struggle drive us deeper into God's Word rather than further away from it.

Maybe spiritual maturity isn't having all the answers.

Maybe it's having the courage to ask the right questions and faithfully seek God's truth.

Because growth rarely happens from the sidelines.

It happens when we engage.
When we seek.
When we wrestle.
