WOMAN WITH A LOADED GUN READY TO END IT AT THE HUB PARKING LOT. THIS IS A STORY OF HOPE THAT HAS MARKED OUR 3 YEARS HUB ANNIVERSARY:
She pulled into the parking lot with a loaded gun.
Not for protection.
Not by accident.
Not because she was afraid of someone else.
She was afraid of herself.
Alcohol had stolen years from her.
Personal tragedy had crushed her.
Pain had become her daily language.
Hopelessness had become her closest friend.
That day, she didn’t come looking for a church service.
She came to end the war.
She sat in that parking lot with a gun, a broken heart, and one last question echoing in her soul:
“God, if You are real… this is Your moment.”
No one in the building knew the battle sitting outside.
No one knew death had followed her into the parking lot.
No one knew heaven and hell were wrestling over one life just a few feet from the front door.
But God knew.
Somehow, she walked in.
She walked into The Hub carrying invisible chains.
She walked in with addiction.
She walked in with trauma.
She walked in with suicidal despair.
She walked in with a loaded weapon nearby and a soul ready to quit.
But she did not walk out the same.
That day, Jesus met her.
The power of God broke the chains alcohol could not break.
The love of God reached places counseling could not reach.
The presence of God interrupted the plan of death.
What came in as a su***de mission became a resurrection story.
She came in ready to die.
She left ready to live.
She came in bound.
She left free.
She came in with a loaded gun.
She left with a lifted head.
And here is the miracle:
Two years later, she is still free.
Not just emotional for a weekend.
Not just touched for a moment.
Not just crying at an altar and going back the same.
Free.
Still sober.
Still alive.
Still restored.
Still a testimony.
Because when Jesus breaks chains, He does not just manage symptoms.
He sets captives free.
This is why The Hub exists.
For the one sitting in the parking lot.
For the one smiling on the outside but dying on the inside.
For the one who says, “I can’t do this anymore.”
For the one who thinks the story is over.
The devil thought he had the final chapter.
But Jesus picked up the pen.
And He wrote one word over her life:
LIVE.
She came to the parking lot with a gun, but she walked into the building and met a Savior.
Death followed her to church, but Jesus was waiting at the door.
The enemy scheduled a funeral, but God scheduled a deliverance.
She came ready to end it, but Jesus came ready to start something new.
Two years later, the chains are still broken.
This is not motivation. This is JESUS encounter.
This is not church as usual. This is Jesus setting captives free.
