We love getting out in the community and helping in anyway we can. These past couple of weeks, we have worked to put in a new playground, opened the food pantry, provided a community meal, and sorted school supplies to deliver "emergency totes" of extra supplies all teachers may need at our public schools. Special thanks to Antioch Lutheran for your help with school supplies, North Toxaway for your continuous help with delivering our community meals, and First Baptist Atlanta for helping with our new playground equipment. As always, our church members are so generous with their time and talents to help with all these activities both in front of the camera and behind the scenes. Because of your help teachers have supplies, kids have swings, people have groceries, and our community had a hot meal. Most of all, we've shown our neighbors God's love. God's people, from all over, working together for HIS glory! Thank you, Jesus!

It was ALL HANDS ON DECK last night as Awana kicked off our Fall session (so not many pictures lol)

We started the night with one of our favorite meals—pancakes & sausage and ended with a special treat from our youth: DIRTY SODAS!

We also celebrated Savannah Silvers, our youth director’s birthday by singing her the birthday song!

And the fun didn’t stop there! Dominique Robinson helped our kiddos tie-dye their Awana bags, which were made especially for them by one of our very own, Wendy Tankersley Duncan! We are so thankful for the love and time that went into making these special bags for our kids!

What a great way to kick off the fall! We’re already counting down the days until next week!

We had a Ladies' Tea Party this morning with good food, devotion, prayer, and encouragement. We also made bracelets that said "Jesus Loves Me" in Portuguese for Pastor Eddie to take to Brazil on his mission trip next month and prayed a blessing over them.
We had ladies who have been at SCBC for 70 years and brand new friends! What a wonderful morning getting to know one another. 💕

If you’ve ever wondered what happens during KidMin worship on Sundays… 👀❤️

It was a FULL house this week, and we loved every minute of it! 🙌 Our kiddos from age 4 through 6th grade worship together through music, motions, and lots of joy as they show their love for Jesus! 🎶🙌

This week, our older kids learned all about the Tower of Babel and how God created many different languages. Then they put the lesson into action with a little friendly competition—working in groups to see who could build the tallest tower! 🏗️

And let me just say… a director is only as good as her volunteers! ❤️ I am SO thankful for the amazing team of volunteers who pour into our kids each week, serve with love, and help make KidMin such a special place for our kiddos to learn about and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

We love watching our kids learn, worship, grow, and have fun together! ❤️⛪️

"Flawed but Willing Vessels..... "
Roughly 50% of the people you see in this snapshot from a regular Sunday worship service were not here 2 years ago. Probably 50% of those were not here 1 year ago.
Our worship team, our children's ministry, our youth, our men's and women's groups, ministries that were here previously and ministries that have started recently have seen expansion, new volunteers and unity. This is not about bragging - this is about showing what GOD does when we get serious about being in HIS will and not our own; when we humble ourselves and say ,"Your way, God, not my way"
When we all work together and put our talents, our time, and our plans into GOD'S ultimate plan, He shows up, He guides and He blesses. Our church is nowhere near perfect - we have our challenges and our disagreements because we are imperfect people - but if anything the past two years has taught SCBC it is that's exactly the kind of people God uses.
What will next year bring? Only the Lord knows, but we trust His plan. Curious about us? Come visit! We're all here just trying to figure it out....but we're doing it together, and in the Lord's timing.

We are a "T.E.A.M - Together Everyone Achieves More"
"Come and behold the works of the Lord!" Psalm 46:8
