We're honored to share that Mission Outpost has been awarded the 2026 Public Health Achievement Award in the Community Group category and was honored at the Dakota County Board of Commissioners this morning!

Eric Elton accepted the award on behalf of Mission Outpost and the incredible volunteers who make this work possible every day. This recognition truly belongs to each of you who give your time, energy and heart to serve our community. Thank you!

WEATHER CLOSURE (3/16): Following ISD 196, the Child Development and Learning Center and Prince of Peace offices will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, due to inclement weather. All scheduled activities will be cancelled.

Mission Outpost at Prince of Peace will remain open for regular business hours.

We've got eggs, but we need cartons!

We recently received a large donation of eggs and need empty egg cartons to share them with our guests. If you've got some at home, we'll gladly take them off your hands!

We've had an amazing response to our Thanksgiving Gift Card Drive -- thank you to everyone who has donated so far!

This is the final weekend to help us get these cards into the hands of our Mission Outpost families.

*Important Reminder: Our offices are closed on Fridays, so please drop off your cards by Thursday (11/13).

In these challenging times, we're launching a special effort to increase the number of Emergency Bags filled with non-perishable food items at Mission Outpost.

We're inviting YOU to join us in this effort. Through the end of November, we'll be accepting donations from the shopping lists below. Let's make sure no one goes hungry during this critical time.

We had a great 50's themed volunteer appreciation dinner to celebrate everyone who serves in Mission Outpost. We couldn't do this work without you -- thank you for helping us reach people who need a little help in the south metro area!

We recently switched to an open shop model, allowing guests the freedom to shop different areas at their convenience rather than having to shop in a linear route. This model is similar to a grocery store and gives guests the ability to choose where they would like to go. We've received great feedback so far. Come check it out the next time you're in the area.

We had an exciting delivery yesterday... equipment for the new Mission Outpost Eye Clinic is in the building!

We will be announcing an official opening date for the clinic soon.

Prince of Peace will be delayed in opening until 4:00 pm today! With this delay, Mission Outpost will remain closed today and NOT open at 4:00 pm for food distribution. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday! Thank you for your understanding.

UPDATE -- WEATHER DELAY (3/5): Following the school closure of district 196, Prince of Peace will delay opening until 4:00 pm today, Wednesday, March 5, due to the winter storm warning in effect through 3:00 pm.

Prince of Peace will open at 4:00 pm for scheduled evening activities including the Ash Wednesday service at 7:00 pm! Stay safe if you travel on the roads today!

Mission Outpost will NOT open for food distribution at 4:00 pm today.
