If you have been feeling called to help in either VBS or helping with CCD as a main teacher or substitute, we have several opportunities available to become Virtus trained. We even have on right here in Burlington at St. Francis Xavier. If August 12th is not available, there is one in Ottawa or one in Emporia. To be one of our main people you have to go through Virtus training. Please feel free to reach out to Angela Myers at the office, Gennifer Birk or myself Amber Nolan. We are more than happy to help get you set up.

Getting supplies and food to feed all the kids and volunteers is no easy task. I would like to give a big shout out to Hoover's Thriftway of Burlington, KS, both St. Francis Xavier and St. Teresa's Altar Society for their generous donations. Gwen Birk for the hamburger. Lastly, Clara and Norma from Cilantro's Mexican Grille for the authentic Mexican food we will have on Friday evening.

I want to give a HUGE thank you to the ones that have helped and donated time, food, decorations or just anything that has been helpful in getting us to today. Kara Reynolds for all the time, decorations and running around she did with all the decorations. Getting her husband Bill, kids (although they are not anymore) and other family members that helped decorate or are letting us borrow items for this week.
St. Rose Philippine Dushesne Catholic School in Garnett, KS for all the globes we were able to borrow this week.
All my volunteers, there are so many to name. I could not do this all without you. I love seeing the kids smiles and laughter with all the fun.
My girls Kamron and Peyton, who have spent so much time, energy and creativity helping me decorate, plan, and being voluntold to help out. At the end of it all, its because of them I started doing this with Kara.

Tomorrow is the day. VBS starts July 6th at 5:30-8pm. Dinner and snack will be provided. I also have T-shirts for any kids that attend. If you need to fill out the paper Registration Form, copies will be provided. You still have the option to fill out the Google form I have added below. Everyone is welcome, even if you do not attend any of the 4 Parishes or are not Catholic. We want any kids that want to come, to enjoy learning God's love and ways to pray to him.

Little more than a week away and time is FLYING by. Don't forget about donations for God's Storehouse/The Blessing Box/ Anderson County EKCAN. I have added a list below. We will also be taking donations to help Catholic Charities with school supplies.

We will be having a competition with the groups to see who can bring in the most donations. Last years winners were the 2nd and 3rd graders. Can they do it again this year?

T-shirt order in and supply lists are sent off. We are getting closer and my excitement is growing.

Wow! School is out for summer! How time flies when you are having fun. Or when we are fully loaded taking kids to games, track meets, promotions, graduations and just making sure we get signed up for all the summer things. Baseball, Softball, Camps, Golf, Swimming Lessons and hopefully Vacation Bible School. The QR Code below will help you get your child(ren) signed up.

I'm excited to say that we are doing T-Shirts this year. So, if you can please sign the kiddos up as soon as possible, I would appreciate it. It will help me get the order together quicker.

Lastly, something I cannot believe I forgot to mention is that we will again be collecting donations for Gods Store House, The Blessing Box, Catholic Charities, and EcKan in Anderson County. I will get my list updated and posted soon.

Not Catholic?....Thats totally fine with us.
You dont have to be for your kiddos to want to come and have fun July 6-10 2026. From 5:30-8pm we will serve them a free supper, snack and have all sorts of fun with Crafts and Games for all ages.
If you are not Catholic and would like to help, let me know. The more hands the better. Im also looking for young adults that want to help with our plays or act in them.
Parents want a free week where you know where your kiddos will be and they get a free shirt? Bring them! No one will be turned away.
