Explore 30 interactive exhibit tables featuring inventions, artifacts, patent information, photographs, and the remarkable stories of Black inventors and innovators whose contributions helped shape the modern world. Visitors will also enjoy a special video presentation highlighting additional inventions and patents not included in the exhibit.

This free, family-friendly experience is designed to educate, inspire, and celebrate the power of innovation across generations.

From powerful storytelling to moving musical performances, Saturday reminded us how important it is to preserve, share, and celebrate the stories that shaped our communities and our nation.

Special thanks to our featured historians Anthony Cohen, Jimmy Richardson, and Alvin Q. Corbett for captivating attendees with the rich and often untold history of Burlington City and New Jersey’s role in the Underground Railroad.

History is about to move through Burlington in a powerful way!

Early Saturday morning, join us for the Ride to Freedom with Daniel Dangerfield aboard the Underground Railroad Freedom Express — an immersive community experience honoring the courage, movement, and legacy of those who journeyed toward freedom.

Supporters will gather at the Burlington Quaker Meeting House before walking with Daniel through Burlington City to the train depot, where participants will board the Freedom Express (NJ Transit Riverline) to Camden and send him onward on his symbolic journey north to freedom.

This is more than a reenactment.
It’s a living reminder of resilience, sacrifice, and hope.
