This verse is about Jonathan & David and their legendary covenant friendship that was a spiritual and emotional bond like no other. These two became one in spirit and their friendship is a model of selflessness, humility and loyalty. Jonathan even gives David his royal robe and armor. That was a pretty big deal back then to exchange garments and armor. It was a sacred ritual that represented a binding covenant. These hankies were on my heart to make. Hopefully everyone has their “Jonathan”. The one who elevates you, checks you, loves you unconditionally & fiercely like no other.

Did you know that sweat towels are mentioned in the Bible? Linen was the preferred material spoken of in Ezekiel 44:18 as it prevented the priests from sweating.
But in Acts you’ll read about long strips of cloth or small cloths used as sweat towels/handkerchiefs or aprons that are referred to as soudarion (Latin: sudarium), literally meaning “sweat cloth”. These items were used by workers to wipe faces. Garments were prayed over by the hands of Paul and anointed with oil & sent out to people as a tangible point of contact to receive their miracle.
Acts 19:11-12 God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul, so that handkerchiefs or aprons were even carried from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out
