Yesterday, our council led service while Pastor was away at Synod & we listened to Bishop Craig’s sermon;

God’s peace replaces judgment, fear, and condemnation. It’s a peace that speaks mercy and grace, reminding us that He has not given up on us.

The call of the church is not self-preservation, but presence — bringing the peace of Christ into our communities, schools and homes, as well as places of loneliness and conflict.

Like the disciples Jesus sent out — vulnerable, dependent, and walking in pairs — our hope isn’t in having all the answers. Our hope is that Jesus still calls ordinary people to keep going, keep walking together, keep caring for one another, and keep proclaiming His peace.
