As we continue to seek the Lord for what He has for Sonrise, we are reminded of the encouragement found in 1 Corinthians 15:58: to be steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labor in Him is never in vain.

This is a season to remain faithful, prayerful, and expectant. We may not yet see every detail of what God is doing or where He is leading, but we can trust the One who does. Our calling is to stay rooted in His Word, sensitive to the Holy Spirit, united as His church, and willing to follow wherever He leads.

We believe God is continuing to shape and prepare all of our Sonrise family for His purposes. Rather than getting ahead of Him, we want to seek His heart, listen for His direction, and faithfully steward what He has placed before us.

Church, remain steadfast. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep loving. Keep seeking.

What we do for the Lord is not wasted. He is faithful, and our labor in Him is never in vain.

AV Media / Worship Band Director
Sonrise Christian Center Skagit is seeking a passionate, Spirit-led leader to oversee our media ministry and help lead our worship and build our worship band.

If you have a heart for productionn & worship, enjoy building teams, and love using technology to help people encounter Jesus, we'd love to connect with you. The Focus of this position is AV Media production.

This job could be split into different roles for different people.

What You'll Do
Lead and develop the AV/Media Ministry
Recruit, train, and schedule media volunteers
Oversee audio, lighting, presentation, livestream, and video production
Support Sunday services and special events
Help lead and develop the worship band. This is a musicians builder not a Worship Leader position.
Plan rehearsals and cultivate a Christ-centered worship culture
Work alongside church leadership to create meaningful worship experiences

We're Looking For Someone Who Is
Passionate about Jesus and the local church
Experienced in worship and/or music leadership

Familiar with church audio, presentation, and livestream technology
Organized, dependable, and able to build healthy volunteer teams

A servant leader who communicates well and encourages others

Childrens Pastor/Director – Sonrise Christian Center SkagitSonrise Christian Center Skagit is seeking a Childrens Pastor/Director to lead our ministry for infants through 6th grade.

We are looking for a joyful, organized, and Spirit‑led leader who loves Jesus, loves kids, and partners well with families.

Responsibilities include:Children’s Ministry Leadership — Overseeing weekly Sunday and mid-week services, curriculum, and discipleship.
Volunteer Development — Recruiting, training, and encouraging ministry volunteers.
Parent Partnership — Supporting families with communication and resources.
Safety Oversight — Maintaining secure check‑in, screening, and classroom procedures.
Event Planning — Coordinating seasonal and family‑focused events.

Qualifications:
A growing relationship with Jesus, experience in children’s ministry or education, strong communication skills, creativity, and a heart for discipleship.
