Please mark your calendars for a Service of Compline this Sunday, March 22nd, in St. Athanasius at 7:00pm.

As we journey through this Lenten season of repentance and preparation, Compline offers a quiet opportunity to slow down, rest in God’s presence, and end the day with scripture, prayer, and stillness.

This simple and beautiful nighttime service is a meaningful way to deepen our Lenten devotion and spend time together in faith and fellowship. All are welcome, so please invite a friend or neighbor.

See you there!

This morning, Betsy Gant shared about the beauty and history of our stained glass windows with 30 women from ECW (Episcopal Church Women).

It was a wonderful time of learning and fellowship as they reflected on the stories, symbolism, and faith represented in the windows that fill our sanctuary with light. Thank you to Betsy for sharing her knowledge and helping us appreciate this meaningful part of our church.

We are sorry to say that due to another forecast of snow and ice, and the layer of ice that's already on the ground, the church will be closed this Saturday 31 January and Sunday 1 February. This Sunday's Eucharist is canceled. These are challenging times for many people, in many ways. You all are in my prayers while we are apart. Please persist in prayer for each other; for this world God loves deeply; and for yourselves, to be rightly guided and preserved from sin and harm in all you do. If you need help, please let your church family know. If you have help to offer, please reach out to someone who might need it.

Due to the forecast of freezing rain and ice, and the possibility of widespread power outages, all worship services and activities at Holy Comforter are canceled for this Sunday, January 25th.

The church offices will be closed on Monday the 26th. Staff will work from home as they are able.

Further decisions about activities next week will be communicated as we see what kind of weather materializes and what kinds of damage it might cause.

Please prepare as best you can, please help each other prepare, and please keep praying. God bless you all.
