Faith Christian Church is a body of believers who are seeking God’s blessings as we spread the Good News of Jesus Christ. Jesus was about finishing the work of the Father (John 4:34). On the cross Jesus said, “It is finished” (John 19:30). The plan of salvation was made complete in the death and resurrection of our Lord. Before Jesus ascended to the right hand of the Father he told the disciples,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20). We are about engaging in this commission by:
1) Loving God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
2) Loving others as we love ourselves.
3) Serving in the name of Jesus Christ. We believe the call of God is prompting a sense of urgency. The signs of the end of the age are around us. Biblical prophecy concerning second coming of Christ/rapture of the church is being fulfilled. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest field” (Matthew 9:37-38). The days of letting petty battles and insignificant issues consume our time and energy must be replaced with kingdom advancement/the saving of souls. We are called to make investments that will effect eternity. Our resolve at Faith Christian Church is:
Seek God’s heart and honor Him in all matters. Bring unbelievers into the family of God. Challenge believers to grow in their walk with the Lord. Leave judgment and criticism at the doorstep. Pray and trust God to direct through the power of the Holy Spirit. Know God better each day through the study of His Word—The Bible. Encourage believers to identify and use their gifts for God’s glory. We invite you to come and be a part of this new body of believers.
