It was great to see Isaac study the Bible over the past few weeks and come to a strong faith in God and his son Jesus. He was baptized in Lake Champlain on Friday! It’s amazing to see the miracle of God transforming a life through faith in him!

The Burlington Church of Christ recently had our “Apple Harvest Festival” - Worship and Celebration

"What’s a Harvest Festival you ask?…It’s enjoying the great Vermont outdoors with singing, communion, homemade treats and apple fritters by Twisted Halo, giant Jenga, corn hole and other games, bonfire with roasted corn on the cob, unhurried fellowship together, walking the Lewis Creek trail and stopping by the prayer meadow…it’s our chance to share gratitude for all we have together and all that God has blessed us with up here in Vermont. Hope you can join us next year but until then, you can find us at the Hilton Burlington Lake Champlain Hotel on Sundays at 10am for church most Sundays. Hope to see you there!

The last place we want to be when we aren't doing well or feeling very faithful is at church. This article makes the case that church is exactly where we need to be during those low times in our lives.

Here is a great quote from the article:
"Sunday by Sunday, as we sing, pray, hear preaching, celebrate baptism and the Lord’s Supper, and open our lives to one another, we encounter the glorious love of the Good Shepherd by his Spirit. The Lord who has died to win his church to himself delights to walk in her midst.

This worship strengthens faith. We worship, and our faith is deepened. We don’t wait until we have deep faith before we worship God. We take the little we believe, the little we know, the thanks and the praise we have—aware that it feels so little—and we bring it to him. And he meets us." Check out the full article below. Hope to see you this Sunday.........

The hardest thing for struggling Christians to recognize is that church is exactly the community they need.

The Burlington Church of Christ Woman's Day Service of "Seen and Heard" was a memorable time for all. Hosted by Jeanie Shaw, Sam Blake, and Christal Brown. Vision Coach Christal Brown guided our time together and helped us to better understand our visions. Celebrated author Jeannie Shaw spoke to the ways God sees and hears us even in the midst of life's transitions and Women's Minister Sam Blake spoke on how we can connect further with our God who sees and hears us. It was encouraging to spend the weekend together talking about a loving God who always sees and hears us.

If you missed this amazing event, you can watch it in the video posted below. You can also join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10 am at the Hilton Hotel Burlington-60 Battery Street. Hope to see you there.

Here’s something to think about, if the stories about Jesus are made up and not real, why did the men who witnessed his life and death die in such horrible ways? Would they have given their lives for a story of fiction they made up? I don’t think so…….
