This International Day of the Girl, we are highlighting the bright potential of girls like the one pictured here with her family in India. Through our active housing appeal, we are working to build 20 safe, dignified homes complete with solid roofs, durable walls, and proper sanitation for families living in unsafe conditions. Built using local materials and volunteers under the guidance of Franciscan friars, these spaces give young girls the stability, privacy, and security they need to focus on their education and dreams.

Heavenly Father, on this International Day of the Girl, we ask Your blessing upon all young girls around the world, especially the families in India who will benefit from these new homes. May these safe, dignified spaces become sanctuaries where young girls grow up knowing their worth, protected from harm, and empowered to pursue their bright futures. Guide the hands of the Franciscan friars, volunteers, and donors working together to build a safer, more compassionate world. Amen.
