Lots of activities happening at the church this weekend! The Swing Dance Party is on Saturday afternoon, on Sunday the choir is back from summer break to energize our regular 10 o'clock service and afterward a group will be marching in the Pride Parade.

Come join us for one or all of these! ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ’ƒ ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ

The Swing Dance Party is a free family-friendly event, open to everyone.

Starting with a free picnic at 4:30. Rae Beecher, Founder of Food Not Bombs South Burlington, is cooking up a great meal for us: Baked chicken, roasted potatoes, rice, cucumber and quinoa salad, chickpea salad, plus assorted snacks and sides.

Then at 5:30 pm there will be short 'Introduction to Swing Dancing' lesson.

And from 6:00 until 7:30 pm the Green Moutain Swing Jazz Big Band will play live music!

If you want to march with us in the Pride Parade, we will meet at 11am at the main entrance of the church after morning service to walk down together, or you can catch up with us at the starting place, 182 King Street.

This year the parade will march from King St. up Church St. to Pearl then turn toward the lake ending at Battery Park near the Band Shell.

Happy Friday! This week a variety of pics: Nancy at Wellness Fair for Community Partners answering questions at the COTS booth, a duet featuring Faith and Jodie, and the most recent Karaoke night.

Members of College Street have been volunteering at the COTS Daystation, helping individuals experiencing homelessness rebuild their social support systems. Through the Miracle Messages program, volunteers assist guests in reconnecting with family members theyโ€™ve lost touch with or in forming new friendships through a caring phone buddy.

Miracle Messages (miraclemessages.org) is a nonprofit dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness rebuild their social networks. By restoring lost family ties and creating new relationships, the program helps reduce isolation, restore dignity, and support long-term stability.

Weโ€™re grateful for all the ways members of our community are connecting, serving, making music, and having fun together this summer!

Summer has given us lots of wonderful memories and a backlog of great photos to share! Over the coming month we'll catch up with a mix of snapshots and videos in no particular order. This week a Lake Monsters game and a flute solo.

Reminder our next karaoke night is TOMORROW (July 24th) in the CSCC basement 7:30 to 9. Jodie says: Bring Games, Bring Snacks Bring Friends!!

Another wonderful Peace Camp! A great week full of Bible study and crafts and food and music. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make this such a special event.โค๏ธ

We also had an outreach Blessing of the Animals. Although it was pretty quiet at the dog park on this particular Saturday morning, we made a few new friends.

Wishing you an amazing July 4th celebration!!! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Throwback Thursday! ๐Ÿพ A couple pics from the last time we had a Blessing of the Animals event several years ago. Look at those cute faces. Hard to say who is blessing who really.

On Saturday morning from 9 to 11 a.m., Reverend Jess will be blessing animals at Starr Farm Dog Park. Bring your pets and stop by to say hello!

Also some pics from this week's Peace Camp, the all-ages Bible camp we share every year with our sister church First Congregational. Another great week of fun, friendship, and learning.

The Spirit was among us this morning! Lots of singing and dancing and laughter. And even though our guest doggo of the morning was put in air jail for joining in shouting "Amen," it's hard to believe he wasn't touched by the same presence.

A powerful sermon by Lacey plus an amazing musical performance from Natanya Vanderlaan who was back to visit us this weekend with her two children!! There will be lots more pictures from today's Ice Cream social and the special Music Service over the coming weeks...

But first, Peace Camp starts on Tuesday. Details can be found in the News from the Pews --which is also now posted as a blog on our website. And on Saturday morning there will be a Blessing of the Animals at Starr Farm Dog Park.

๐Ÿจ Ice Cream!! The Ice Cream Social will be after church this Sunday (June 21). This will be on the front lawn weather permitting. We could use a few extra ice cream scoops, so if you have one, please bring it along! And bring a friend.

And on Saturday morning (June 27) Reverend Jess will be leading a Blessing of the Animals at Starr Farm Dog Park in the NNE. All pets (and their humans) are welcome!
