Janice Thomas Thompson, age 78 of Burgaw passed peacefully Monday October 6, 2025 at Novant New Hanover Reg. Med. Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 27, 1947 in Alamance County, daughter of the late Wade and Alene Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 47

📣 📣📣Homecoming service is this Sunday, September 14 at 11 AM at Lake Macintosh. We will start with a joyful worship service and then spend the afternoon enjoying fellowship and fun. Some of the activities will be fishing, paddle boats, and canoes that everyone can enjoy. Don't forget to bring a chair and your favorite side dish or dessert to share. It’s with a very sad heart that we let you all know that Mr. Moon passed away a little after midnight last night. There will be a visitation at the funeral home this week and then we plan to have a memorial/funeral service in a week or two. Those details will be posted at a later date. Keep their family in your prayers during this difficult time.

Special prayer request for Karlee Phillippie. She left church yesterday not feeling well and went to UNC. She was told her kidney function is at 30 percent. Please pray specifically for that need and that her shunt is cleared with no issues. Also, keep her husband and children in your prayers.

Please be in prayer for James Lefler. He was sent to the hospital yesterday by ambulance. He’s awake but has some complications from a stroke.
