Rev. Dr. Alberta Wallace is a United Church of Christ clergyperson transferring from the Southwest Conference of the UCC to the Southern Conference/ ENCA. R.A.L.P.H. Coaching Ventures LLC (Rising Above Limited Perspectives Held)was authorized by the Southwest Conference as Rev. Wallace’s entrepreneurial ministry to enable coaching service to churches, organizations, and persons journeying life’s transitions.
After serving as a settled pastor in Yuma, Arizona for 5 years she kept hearing the Spirit saying, “there is more.” To follow the Spirit, Alberta entered doctoral studies at her alma mater Central Seminary (formerly Central Baptist Theological Seminary) in Kansas where she was reminded of her passion for crisis intervention work. Alberta’s first call to ministry is Social Work and her doctoral studies led her to focus on organizational development and coaching. This realization placed her on the road to Intentional Interim Ministry where she was able to walk alongside churches in transition in Arizona, New Hampshire, and Vermont.
The Spirit continues to say to her, “there is more,” and in response she asks the question, “how can we be prophetic leaders in these violent times?” Now, R.A.L.P.H. Coaching Ventures, LLC includes facilitation of “The Companionship Model,” teaching how presence, listening, encouragement, community connections and timely rebuke can promote peace and healing. Alberta’s “companionship ministry” also includes guest preaching to give respite to pastors and she continues to walk alongside/ coach groups and faith communities in transition. She has been blessed with a voice for exhortation and has trained to be a voice actor. Alberta always hears, “there is more,” for the Spirit is always speaking. Alberta and her beloved, Wendy are members of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ.
