Plymouth UCC, Burlington, WI In the United Church of Christ we say, “no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey of faith, you are welcome here.”
Come and worship with us.

In the United Church of Christ we say, "No matter who you are or where your are on life's journey of faith, you are welcome here." We also say, "Never place a period where God has placed a comma," (Gracie Allen) and "God is still speaking." The greatest reason we exist as the church is to worship our God and Creator who is constantly blessing us that we ourselves might be a blessing to others. In

our worship, we constantly strive to better our lives personally and communally. Come sing with us on Sunday! Pastor: Bob Wang

One of our church families is facing an incredibly difficult season, and we'd like to help support them.

Terrie is currently undergoing treatment for cancer, and her family has set up a GoFundMe to help with medical expenses and lost income during this time. They are asking for support as they navigate this difficult season together.

If you're able to contribute, any amount can make a difference. And if you're not in a position to give, sharing the fundraiser, keeping Terrie and her family in your prayers, or sending some encouragement their way can mean just as much.

Thank you for helping us surround them with care and support. ❤

Questions About Grief

If you've been thinking about coming to the grief discussions, you may have a few questions.

You don't have to know exactly what you need before you come. You can simply come as you are.

Grief has many names.

It can come after losing someone you love.
It can come with divorce or a changing relationship.
It can come with a diagnosis or changes in your health.
It can come with retirement or the loss of a job.
It can come when life looks very different than you expected.
And sometimes, grief from years ago is still asking to be heard.

If any of this sounds familiar, these conversations are for you.

You don't need to have the "right" kind of grief. You don't need to be at a particular stage. And you don't need to have everything figured out.

What Happens at the Discussions?

Maybe you've thought about coming to our Grief Discussions, but you're not quite sure what to expect.

There won't be a lecture. You won't be forced to tell your story. And you don't need to arrive knowing exactly what you need.

Each evening will have its own focus, with time for thoughtful conversation and reflection.

Discussion 1: September 8
How Has Grief Shown Up in the Body and Soul?

Discussion 2: September 15
Resources I Need?

Both discussions are from 6:30–7:45 PM in Plymouth's Chapel or by Zoom.

You are welcome to join us for one evening or both.

Grief Can Be Quiet

Grief doesn't always look like tears. It can affect the whole person: body, mind, heart, and spirit. And sometimes we don't recognize what we're experiencing as grief at all.

If you've been feeling something you can't quite put into words, you aren't failing. You may simply be carrying something heavy.

This September, Rev. Yvette will lead two evenings of conversation about the journey of grief, with space to slow down, listen, and explore what we may need along the way.

You Don't Have to Share to Belong

Some people worry that coming to a grief discussion means they will be expected to tell their story, talk about their loss, or say more than they're ready to say.

That isn't the case here.

Some people come to listen. Some people speak. Some people aren't sure what they need yet. All of those are okay.

These two evenings with Rev. Yvette are a space to slow down, reflect, listen, and consider what your own journey of grief might be asking of you. There is no pressure to share.
