Welcome to the page for the Parkside First Baptist Church Youth Group!
We will be using this page to make announcements about youth events, changes in the schedule, cancellations and anything else that is related to the youth group.
We decided to name the youth group “Encounter”. You might be asking yourself, “encounter what?”
An encounter is an unexpected meeting with something or someone. Our hope is that through Encounter, young men and women will meet God in unexpected ways and understand what it truly means to be human. In lessons and small groups, we talk about a wide variety of topics, such as: how we should view ourselves, the battle of the mind, why I am valuable, why I can be confident, what I should be living for and a lot more.
We also play fun games, eat good snacks and host free events!
Encounter hosts a boys and a girls group and is open to anyone between 6th and 12th grade. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never been to church before or what your background is. We’re thrilled to build friendships and invest in every type of person.
