KID'S CAMP June 12-15 Shelby, NC
Jordan and I were able to spend some time at the camp facility this weekend. It is a very nice facility with great food and excellent opportunity for service in the community and camp. Your child will thoroughly enjoy the camp experience and the mission outreach.

It's that time of year again! Bring Your Bible to School Day is coming up soon on Thursday, October 7!

Bring Your Bible to School Day empowers Christian students of all ages to speak God’s grace and truth into the culture around them, starting with two simple steps — bringing their Bibles to school and sharing what God’s Word means to them.

This event is for students of all ages. Parents can register their kids under age 13, while young adults can register themselves. Bring your Bible to whatever school looks like for you! Whether your school is public, private, or at home, you can participate!

Day 4 GAME DAY
Option 1
Kids use chalk to draw roller coaster pathways on the
pavement, which they then follow on foot. They can also
ride along the pathways on riding toys, if you’d like.

Option 2
Airplanes may be marvels of flight, but they are nothing
like the original flying kinds that God created! In fact,
birds in flight were the inspiration for the invention of
airplanes. God thought of flight first! Have the kids try
their hand at making some paper airplanes and having
paper airplane races. Search the Internet for “paper airplanes” for designs if you need to remember how to fold
them.

Day 3 Game Day
Note: as it's rainy today, you might like to adjust your list so that you find things inside that represent what God made. Ex. stuffed animal, veggies, water, etc

Scavenger Hunt
Make a list of items God created that kids can hunt for. Send
them of with a copy of the list and a bag in which
to collect the items. You may want to give them a marker
for marking off the list as they find things. Your master list
may include items such as a fuzzy leaf, a blade of grass,
a dead bug, something red, something yellow, something
soft, something hard, a pine cone, a clover, a rock, a feather,
something God created on day three, something God created on day six, hearing a horse whinny, seeing something
shiny, tasting a drink of water. You may want to include a
“gross” item or two (which really aren’t gross at all—God
thought them up!) such as earwax or spit. That will particularly appeal to the older kids! You may want to list about
fifteen objects and have the kids find the number of items
that corresponds with their age. For example, a 12-year-old
finds twelve items, an 8-year-old finds eight.
