🎉🎉This year, 6,670 shoebox gifts came through the central drop-off at West Avenue Baptist Church!🎉🎉 That’s up 732 boxes from last year, packed from homes and churches all over SE Iowa!!

Did you know WABC is a central drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child?! That means that every year, drop-off centers around SE Iowa bring their shoeboxes to us to be shipped to the processing center!

Shoebox gifts came to us from drop-off locations in:
✝️ Crossview in Keokuk
✝️ Stockport Christian Church in Stockport
✝️ Great River Christian School in Burlington
✝️ West Avenue Baptist Church in Burlington
✝️ Calvary Baptist Church in Muscatine
✝️ Mount Pleasant Christian School in Mount Pleasant
✝️ Faith Baptist Church in Washington

Our volunteers load the cartons onto semi trailers. From here, these boxes will travel to the Processing Center in Aurora, Illinois, where they will be sorted and sent out to places all over the world!

That’s a wrap on our 2025 collection week! Big thanks to all our volunteers, the volunteers at each drop-off center, and each person who packed and prayed over these gifts! God is on the move in in BIG ways, in our little corner of the world and BEYOND!!

📣 SEARCHING FOR DONATIONS 📣

Do you have items around your house you’re hoping to get rid of? Let us take them off your hands!!

West Avenue Baptist Church and Oak Street Baptist Church are organizing a mission trip to Pacific Garden Mission, a homeless shelter in downtown Chicago. As part of our fundraising efforts, we will be hosting a donation garage sale, where shoppers can offer a donation for the items they purchase!

Dates for the Garage Sale are June 27 and 28. More information to come!!

In the meantime, if you have gently used items that you would be interested in gifting to our efforts, it would be a huge blessing to our team! All proceeds from the sale will be used to fund our team during the trip!

We look forward to the work God is preparing for us at PGM in July!

**PRAYER REQUEST**

Kathy Breuer’s brother, Roger, has recently been diagnosed with cancer. As you can imagine, this is a difficult time for Roger and his family. He has an important appointment with the oncologist this week to determine the best course of treatment.

Please join us in praying for healing for Roger, wisdom and knowledge for the doctors as they plan his care, and comfort and peace for Roger and his loved ones—especially Kathy and the rest of their family—as they walk through this together.

Thank you for lifting them up in prayer.
