Today was a FABULOUS first day of year 30 for me! This room has been my second home for 10 years now and each year just gets better and better!! Teaching academics is one thing, but helping kids understand their need for a Savior, guiding them to accept the amazing gift of salvation, and walking beside them as they develop a relationship with the One who saves is PRICELESS!!!!! I can’t think of anything better than watching these young humans grow into the people God made them to be!! And it helps to have cool shirts to wear thanks to my sweet friend Michele Schlosser at JaMpressions!!!

Yesterday’s head-on collision near Centennial High School involved one of our dear families. Cristel Bertrand has a long road to recovery, but we are thankful for God’s provision over her life and we are grateful that the children were not in the car at the time of the accident! Please pray and consider helping financially during the difficult days ahead.

Everyone stay safe and warm! We will see you back at school next week!!

For the safety of our students, staff, and families, BISD schools and offices will be closed on Friday, February 3rd. While many roads are safe for travel, less-traveled roads in our rural areas as well as some campus drives, parking lots, and sidewalks remain covered in ice. We’ll be back at school on Monday!
