If recent events have you or someone you know considering moving up the timeline on the officially married portion of a relationship that had already considered marriage. Please know that myself and many people I know will work to make themselves available to you to officiate your legal wedding and many will also provide pre-marital sessions. I routinely officiate Kansas and Texas weddings. I am also approved or can be approved in other states. Future court rulings or legislation might be able to take away access to marriage or even change the status of marriage to something unequal for those marriages considered "same-sex" but it would not be easy to retroactively invalidate marriages.

Allies- Texas has a program called Twogether in Texas that saves people $60 on their marriage license and waives the 48 hour waiting period. If you're in Texas and are clergy or social worker or counselor or church educators you may look into adding your name to the list to broadened the number of people who provide the service.
