Our BSF team is excited to welcome you to a brand new year of studying God’s Word together!

This year we’ll journey through Romans: From Guilt to Grace.
Romans is a book that speaks to our deepest struggles and leads us toward God’s grace, reminding us that the God who saves us also transforms us. We’re praying that this study will deepen our faith, renew our minds, and draw each of us closer to Jesus.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to prepare a place where you can come each week to open God’s Word, ask questions, grow in your understanding, and experience the joy of studying Scripture together.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.” Romans 1:16

Romans shows us that our hope does not rest in our circumstances, our performance or our ability to hold everything together. It rests in what Jesus has already accomplished on our behalf.

Because of Him, our past no longer defines us, our present is held with purpose and our future is secure. The gospel meets us personally, reshaping the way we see God, ourselves and every part of our lives.

Romans is one of those books of Scripture that gets straight to the heart of the gospel: who God is, what He has done for us, what grace really means, what it looks like to live by faith, and how the gospel changes EVERYTHING.

In his letter to the Romans, Paul boldly declares that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”

Have you ever felt like your sins were too bad to bring to Jesus? That He could never forgive you?

Performance vs. peace. Which one is actually running your day?

It's easy to go about our days like acceptance is something we have to earn through one more accomplishment, one more task accomplished, one more day of getting it right. But Romans tells a different story.

Christ already met the righteous requirement of the law on our behalf. We're not striving for acceptance - it's offered freely through Jesus. "There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

Setting our minds on the Spirit instead of our fears changes everything about how we face stress, uncertainty, and the pressure to hold it all together.

The message of Romans is that we are not enough - and that’s a good thing.

We could never save ourselves. Even in our best moments, we fall short of God’s perfect standards.

But God doesn’t leave us alone in our guilt. He provides a way out, through faith in His Son. When we trust in Him, we are freely given His righteousness.

And as we continue to follow Him, God transforms us day by day.

Conflict comes naturally, but pursuing peace takes intention.
Because of the hope we have in Christ, we're called to build one another up, seek unity, and love one another well
—even when it isn't easy.
