Freedom feels normal… until you remember somebody died for it.

The cookouts.
The laughter.
Worshipping freely.
The ordinary moments we take for granted every day.

Memorial Day reminds us that those freedoms were paid for by men and women who never made it home. Today, we honor them. We remember them. And we refuse to take their sacrifice lightly.

Most people want the headset, the title, and the important seat. Jesus picked up a towel. This week at The Foundry, we talked about greatness, ego, serving, and why the Kingdom of God works completely backwards from the world.

Turns out… it’s pretty easy to feel spiritually mature when nobody is annoying you. 😂 Then somebody says something wild, and suddenly you discover how much “grace” you actually have.

Because relationships are mirrors. They show you what’s really going on inside of you. And honestly? That’s part of how God forms us. Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo mission.

We’ve learned to live like it all depends on us. Keep moving. Keep producing. Don’t fall behind. But that’s not the way of Jesus.

Rest is a line in the sand that reminds us that the Father is with us. So breathe. You don’t have to carry it all. Stop striving. You can lay it down. You can actually rest.

Join us this Sunday. Let’s relearn a rhythm that trusts God enough to stop.

Most of us don’t ignore prayer… we just treat it like an emergency button.

When life’s fine, we’re handling it.
When it’s not… “Alright God, I could use some help here.”

But prayer was never meant to be the thing you grab in a crisis. It’s supposed to lead your life. If you’ve been feeling off, stuck, or like you’re carrying more than you should… this might be why.
