Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you.” John 20:21

That means today isn't just back to school. It's back to the mission field. Our kids and students are being sent into classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and practice fields to be kind, stand for what’s right, notice the overlooked, and carry the hope of Jesus.

Parents, teachers, coaches, students... we’re praying for you. Go get ’em, Foundry. 🔥

One door. But everybody who walks through it is carrying a different story. Different battles. Different scars. Different questions. Different breakthroughs. Some walk in on top of the world. Some barely made it out of bed.

That's the church.

What changes when you regularly engage God's Word? Apparently, a lot.

The stats are impressive, but the point isn't that reading the Bible is some life hack. God's Word changes us. It shapes how we think, how we treat people, how we fight temptation, how we lead our families, and how we follow Jesus.

Maybe it's time we let the Bible change us. Don't just own a Bible. Open it.

We say we don’t have time... But somehow we have time to scroll. Time to binge. Time to check scores. Time to watch one more video about something we won’t remember tomorrow.

Maybe we don’t have a time problem. Maybe we have a devotion problem. What gets your time and attention says a lot about what actually matters to you. This one might step on some toes... ours included.

Because another packed calendar, another Target run, and another morning telling yourself “we’ll make it next week” probably isn’t what your family needs. Sometimes the best thing you can do is show up.

Show up. Worship hard. Open the Word. Stand shoulder to shoulder with your people.

Answer the call. We saved you a seat. 🔥

"Preaching isn’t my calling." Is probably not what you want to hear from your pastor.

We tend to think “calling” belongs to pastors, missionaries, or people with microphones. But Jesus never limited the Great Commission to professionals. Every disciple is called to make disciples. That might happen around a dinner table, in a classroom, on a jobsite, in an office, or on the sidelines of a football field.

The assignments are different. The mission is the same. Wherever God has placed you, you have a part to play. The method changes. The calling doesn’t.

Your family doesn’t need another thing on the calendar. Another practice. Another meeting. Another activity. Another night eating Chick-fil-A in the car because apparently that’s just dinner now.

What we need is something bigger than ourselves. A faith worth building a life on. People who will actually walk with us. A mission worth giving ourselves to.

Church was never supposed to be another activity we squeeze into an already packed life. It’s a people learning to follow Jesus and helping each other do the same. That’s the kind of church we’re trying to build.
