My dear parishioners,

Today we celebrate the feast day of God...... Trinity Sunday. The mystery of the Holy Trinity is the most central mystery of our faith.

We are told that the great St. Augustine was once walking along the seashore trying to figure out the mystery of the Trinity. He came upon a child filling a hole with bucket after bucket of water from the ocean. "You can't empty the whole ocean into that hole," the saint laughed. Looking at the learned Augustine, the child replied, "And neither can you ever, completely understand the mystery of the Trinity."

Today's feast is an invitation to reflect on the most central mystery of our faith-that God is THREE and One. Three equal persons, one God. Even if St. Augustine couldn't exhaust the mystery in thousands of words, God has revealed Himself to us as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is a community of persons united in love. That also is what a marriage is, and a family is, and a parish is. Because we are made in God's image and likeness, we reflect the triune nature of God in our self-giving relationships of love united in Christ.

Perhaps we can allow our Sunday Gospel to instruct us. Jesus tells us that the Holy Spirit will teach us what we need to know. Jesus and the Father will remain present to us through the working of the Holy Spirit. This is a great consolation and joy. Let us live in God's love.

"We are God's people." Rejoice and be glad.

Love and Blessings,
Msgr. Bob Cilinski, Pastor

What does it look like to have a spiritual relationship with Our Lady?

Your podcast hosts Fr. Jordan Evans and Mary Castellano answer this question with parishioners Kathleen and Jared Gollie.

This episode highlights the spiritual journey from understanding Mary intellectually to knowing her on a personal level through scripture and the "33 Days to Morning Glory" consecration by Fr. Michael Gaitley.

This reflection is a great way to conclude the month of May 🌹 Listen now on the Nativity Parish YouTube Channel or Spotify! 🎧

This month, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus.

The May Crowning is a simple gesture of honor to Mary, who always points us to her son Jesus. With flowers and prayer, our Nativity Parish Family entrusts itself to Our Lady's maternal care.

Mary, Mother of God, pray for us 🙏

God of power and mercy,
you destroy war and put down earthly pride.
Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears,
that we may all deserve to be called your sons
and daughters.
Keep in your mercy those men and women
who have died in the cause of freedom
and bring them safely
into your kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
