Join Harmony - A Progressive Faith Community this Sunday, June 14 at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Education Building of Glendale First United Methodist Church in Room 340 as we continue in the sermon series, "Rise Again: Rebuilding With Hope."

We welcome back Ashley Hengst as the guest preacher. She will preach on the subject, "Rising with Pride," a message of hope, belonging, and God's inclusive love as we celebrate Pride Month and LA Pride weekend.

This Sunday, June 7, at Harmony - A Progressive Faith Community we continue in our sermon series, "Rise Again: Rebuilding with Hope." We are discovering how God helps people and communities rise again after difficult seasons—restoring hope, renewing purpose, and rebuilding what feels broken.

Rev. Sam B. Kim will preach on the subject, "No One Rises Alone," challenging us to discover how God uses relationships, partnerships, and community to accomplish the work of renewal and rebuilding.

It's Communion Sunday and we invite you to bring Items for the NoHo Interfaith Food Pantry (see wish list here: https://nhifp.org/food-drives)

We meet at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Education Building of Glendale First United Methodist Church in Room 340.

This Saturday, May 30th is the final "Coffee, Community & Harmony." We'll meet at 10 a.m. at The Ugly Mug Coffee House, 3112 W. Burbank Blvd., Burbank.

This Sunday, May 31st begins a new sermon series, "Rise Again: Rebuilding with Hope," that will run through June 28th. It is inspired by the Book of Nehemiah.

The Book of Nehemiah tells the story of a faith community rebuilding after loss, discouragement, and uncertainty. Throughout this series, Rev. Sam B. Kim will lead us in exploring how God helps people rise again from challenging seasons — restoring hope, renewing purpose, and rebuilding what feels broken.

Whether you are navigating disappointment, transition, grief, or simply longing for a new beginning, this series will offer encouragement and hope for rebuilding your life with faith and courage.

We meet at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Education Building of Glendale First United Methodist Church in Room 340.

Harmony - A Progressive Faith Community was blessed this morning to have Andrew Hill as our guest preacher for Pentecost Sunday preaching from Acts 2:36-39, "The Promise Is For You."

He asked those gathered, "How is it we go about sharing this faith?...Do you recall the first time you heard the Gospel message?...Do you recall when you said yes to Jesus?"

Andrew told his own story of being a 14-year-old accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

He says, "The commission requires commitment," and asked, "Could you make a difference in someone's life this week by planting a seed of Jesus Christ? Are you watering so that someone will grow to be committed?"

It was also "Potluck Sunday" in which we bring dishes to share and dine together after worship.

Join us each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. for worship and fellowship on the third floor of the Education Building of Glendale First United Methodist Church in Room 340.

Join us this Sunday, May 24th for Pentecost Sunday! Our guest preacher will be Andrew Hill who will preach from Acts 2:36-39, "The Promise Is For You!"

Andrew is son to Rev. Paul Hill and Allyson Hill, son-in-law to Mozella Strong, brother to Paul Hill II, husband to Qiauna Fair, and father and perpetual-parent-in-training to Isaiah, Naiima, and Josiah. Qiauna and Andrew aspire to grow more in the Word of God as a family, to develop learning resources for others to support their walk with God.

We meet at 10:30 a.m. on the third floor of the Education Building of Glendale First United Methodist Church in Room 340.
