EVERY STORY DESERVES A NEW BEGINNING. 🌊

This Sunday is one of our favorite Sundays of the year… BAPTISM SUNDAY!

For some, baptism might be something you grew up hearing about. For others, you might have no idea what it is or why people do it.

Here’s the simplest way we can explain it: Baptism is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus. It’s a moment where someone gets to publicly say, “My past doesn’t define me, and I’m choosing a new direction for my life.”

And here’s what we love most about it…

You don’t have to have everything figured out. You don’t have to have a perfect past. And you certainly don’t have to have all the answers.

You just have to be willing to take a next step.

Whether you’re ready to get baptized, curious about what it means, or just want to come celebrate some incredible stories of life change, there’s a place for you this Sunday.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🙌

There are a million things competing for our attention, affection, energy, and ambition. Work, family, responsibilities, notifications, worries—the noise never seems to stop.

That’s why this Thursday, we’re creating space to step away from everything pulling at us and turn our attention toward the One who matters most.

Our theme for the night is One Thing, inspired by David’s prayer in Psalm 27:4:

“One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek…”

David had plenty happening around him, but underneath everything else was one defining pursuit: the presence of God.

That’s what we want this night to be. A chance to slow down, worship together, and remind our hearts that underneath all the things we want, need, and pursue—we want Jesus.

Whether worship is familiar to you or you’re still exploring faith, you’re welcome in the room. You don’t have to know every song or have the right words. Simply come as you are and make space for God.

Words don’t all weigh the same.

Correction is a necessary part of parenting, but criticism should be the exception—not the atmosphere our kids grow up in.

Recently, my son asked if I loved him. Instead of giving him a quick “of course,” I started naming the specific things I love about who he is. At first, he got embarrassed and asked me to stop. But when I did, he looked at me and said, “Dad, what else?”

Our kids don’t only need to know that we love them. They need to hear why.

So here’s a question worth sitting with:

If you placed every word you speak to your kids on a scale, would affirmation and encouragement outweigh correction and criticism?

Save this as a reminder—and share it with a parent who wants to get this right.

When life gets loud and everything competes for our attention, worship helps us remember what matters most.

More success won’t satisfy us. More stuff won’t sustain us. More approval won’t complete us.

At the end of it all, what our souls need most is Jesus.

May this be more than a song we sang on Sunday—may it become the prayer we carry into every part of this week. 🙏

For many people raised in church, God was presented through authority, compliance, punishment, and control. Questioning your parents felt like questioning God—and disagreement could come at the cost of belonging.

Most parents were sincerely doing what they believed the Bible required. But what if some of what we called “biblical parenting” wasn’t actually what Scripture teaches?

This Sunday, we begin our Family Month series: Where Parents Go Wrong—and How to Make It Right.

This isn’t about blaming our parents or shaming ourselves. It’s about honestly examining what shaped us, healing what hurt us, and learning how to build healthier relationships with the next generation.

Whether you’re currently raising kids, hope to one day, or are still making sense of how you were raised—this series is for you.
