TOMORROW at the MUSEUM OF TOLERANCE
Rhonda Kess's "Moses: A Schtick in Time"
Sun Oct 11 2pm & 7pm
https://give.museumoftolerance.com/event/moses-a-schtick-in-time/e840226

After its staged reading at BTEE, Moses is hitting the road!

Imagine a musical where nothing is sacred or kosher: where Moses confronts conspiracy theories that say he's all washed up, where a power-hungry King Solomon locks horns with Moses in a battle for control of Heaven's Justice Department, where they both beam down to LA in a race to save an historic synagogue, and a celebrated drag queen who should have inherited King Solomon's kingdom is already leading the charge to save the shul and a beloved tamale factory.

This is Moses like you've never seen him before-in Boyle Heights, Beverly Hills, and poolside on the Westside. Get your tickets, 'Get Your Moses On', and get ready to laugh, because Heaven knows.....we could all use a good laugh.

Wanted to share this CBS interview talking about her new memoir Heart of a Stranger by Rabbi Angela Buchdahl’s whose prayers and song at Central Synagogue are enjoyed by so many of us online. She talks about building and claiming her identity as a Korean Jew. And notes that when you feel like an outsider personally, that is a valuable entrée to understanding the Jewish experience over centuries. And this shapes her leadership style to actively welcome all those who show up in her sanctuary. We are individuals when it comes to our relationship with and experience of Jewish identity, and together we can still be one community.
