Today was a very special day for our church family as we officially installed Pastor Nicholas as our pastor!

We are so excited for this new season and for all that God has planned for our church. We pray that this ministry will be marked by faith, love, growth, and a continued desire to serve God and our community.

Pastor Nicholas, we want you to know how grateful we are to have you with us. We are looking forward to walking together, growing together, and seeing what God will do through this next chapter.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make today such a special occasion!!!

Tonight, we celebrate a very special moment as Pastor Nicholas is being ordained into ministry in Rapid City, South Dakota.

It is a blessing to witness God’s faithfulness and His calling on Pastor Nicholas’s life. Tonight, we celebrate this incredible milestone and the dedication that has brought him to this moment.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside him as he answers God’s call and begins this new chapter of ministry.

Please join us in welcoming our new call Pastor - Pastor Nicholas Breining!!

Pastor Nicholas graduated from the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago receiving an M.Div. with a concentration on Interfaith Relations, and he has a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Psychology. His recent ministry experience was serving as a youth worker at Misión Luterana San Timoteo in Chicago, IL, and as a children and youth coordinator at the Pine Ridge Reconciliation Center. Prior to ministry, he worked in the non-profit sector as a manager at a homeless shelter, and as a family coach with high-risk and at-risk youth.

He was born and has family roots in Wisconsin, but there have been many states that he has called home-including Oregon, Colorado, South Dakota, and now Illinois. He is currently living in Hyde Park with his spouse Faye and their cat Sota. They treasure time together around a fire at the promontory point looking out at Lake Michigan.
