Hey everyone, come out tomorrow and support Michelle, our friend from the Ormond Beach campus. She will be sharing on Step 8. Michelle has a powerful testimony, and brings her years of sobriety and love of Jesus together to share a meticulous teaching. You won’t want to miss this.

Step 8.“We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

”Step 8 is where God slows us down and turns our eyes outward.
We’ve spent so much time looking at our own patterns, our own hurts, our own history — but now the Holy Spirit gently places people on our hearts. Faces. Names. Moments. Wounds we caused. Wounds we carried.

This step isn’t about rushing into apologies. It’s about becoming willing — letting God soften what pride once hardened, letting humility replace defensiveness, letting truth replace excuses.

It’s where we stop saying, “They hurt me worse,” and start saying, “Lord, show me where I need to walk in love.
”It’s where we let God prepare our hearts for reconciliation, even if the relationship never fully restores.
It’s where we choose obedience over emotion, surrender over self‑protection, and healing over hiding.

And Scripture speaks directly to this:“For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”
Matthew 6:14

Forgiveness is not pretending it didn’t hurt. It’s releasing the right to punish.
It’s letting God be the Judge and the Healer.
It’s choosing freedom over bitterness.

And when we forgive, we open the door for God to do the same in us — washing us clean, restoring our joy, and breaking the chains of resentment that kept us stuck
Step 8 is the doorway to peace
Step 8 is the beginning of relational healing.

Step 8 is where God teaches us to love like Jesus loved — with courage, compassion, and truth.
