No Youth services tonight 4/23. Meeting with Host Homes and Bible study leaders for Disciple Now. Bring permission forms and final balance payment with you on Friday. Be at the church by 6pm Friday night. If you don't have a permission form you can fill one out on Friday when you arrive. Thanks

This coming Sunday March 30th, the youth will have the morning service here at Genesis. One of our black light teams will perform to "Your Great Name" by Natalie Grant and part of our drama team will perform a skit titled "Everything". We have worked very hard and want all the glory to go to God. Hope to see a full house this Sunday and please pray that everyone stays healthy, no sickness and that nerves will be calmed. What is the purpose of 180 Student Ministry @ GBC of Buna? Let me share a story with you. Last night our ministry team was at SHS for a "Saw U @ the Pole" event. The entire day was crazy and stressful. Our church van was in the shop, hoping it would be fixed in time, not sure how I would get everyone there if its not fixed. MY ENEMY WAS TELLING ME TO CANCEL AND NOT GO!!! The shop calls at 4:38 and the van is ready but its in Kirbyville, we must leave Buna by 5:30 and I have kids to pick up. We finally make it to Silsbee by 5:50, get everyone into the cafeteria to eat pizza knowing that the event starts @ 6:30. Im getting the black light team together to get them ready and I see one of our 7th grade boys thats on the BL team sitting with a man and eating pizza. I find out that this man is this boys dad that he has not seen in 4 1/2 years and dad came to watch him perform BL. I stopped, took a deep breath and thanked God for this reunion. Whats the purpose of 180 and every youth pastor out there? Its "PIZZA WITH DAD." when its ordained by God!!! Dont stop what your doing for God's Kingdom, Its all worth it!!!!

Last night at Genesis Youth I spoke on "Who do you say The Son of Man is?" In Matthew 16 Jesus asked His disciples this question, they responded, "Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets. Peter did say when asked this question by Jesus that "He IS the Messiah". But do you know who never doubted on who Jesus truly is? The demons!!!!!! Everytime Jesus came on the scene they began to shout, "Have You come to torment us before our time?" If the demons of Hell know who "The Son of Man" is, then who do you say He is?
