As you take a well-earned break today, remember that whatever work God has placed in front of you — at your job, in your home, or in your ministry — it matters. Your labor is not in vain.

This September, we're setting aside a day for A Divine View Through Divine Adversity — a one-day women's retreat where we'll journey with Elva Kelton through her Scripture-filled journal entries, written after losing her son, Tim. Her story isn't a tidy one, but it's a true one, and it points to a richer understanding of God's faithfulness.

This past year, our church family showed up — hands, hearts, and passports ready — to serve in communities near and far. That's what it looks like to Invest in the lives of others, one piece of our vision here at BBC alongside Belonging in community and Growing in relationship with Jesus.

And we're not done. 2027 is already shaping up with trips to the Amazon, the Dominican Republic, Memphis, and Matamoros — with a spot for you on one of them.
