The Story Isn't Over Yet
by Pami Walden

There are times in life when we look around and wonder, "Is this it?" Is this where I'm going to stay? Is this all there is? Will things ever change? Will I ever find that place where I feel like I belong?

I've asked some of those questions myself. And if you've been following along with these thoughts, you probably know that I don't have a neat answer to all of them. I'm still figuring some of it out.

But maybe that's okay. Maybe faith isn't always about having the answers. Maybe sometimes faith is simply deciding that even though I don't know what comes next, I still trust the One who does.

That's a different kind of faith. It's the kind that keeps going when the road doesn't look like we thought it would. It's the kind that can look at an unfinished story and say, "God, I don't understand this chapter, but I trust You with the next one."

I've had seasons where I thought I knew what the next chapter was going to look like. And then it didn't.

I've prayed for things that didn't happen when I thought they would. I've hoped for friendships, community, and a sense of belonging—and sometimes wondered if I was hoping for something that simply wasn't going to happen again.

Maybe you've experienced that too. Perhaps you've been waiting for a spouse. Or a child. Or a healing. Or a new job. Or a church family. Or a place to call home. Maybe you've been waiting for something you haven't even been able to put into words.

And sometimes the hardest part isn't the waiting itself. It's wondering whether you should stop hoping. I've wrestled with that.

But I'm learning that hope doesn't always mean knowing what God is going to do. Hope means believing that God is still good when I don't know what He's going to do. That's a little different.

And perhaps that's where some of us are right now. Not at the end.
Not where we thought we'd be. Not necessarily where we want to stay. But still here.

Still believing. Still praying. Still putting one foot in front of the other. And maybe that's enough for today.

There is a verse I've come back to more than once:
"I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."
Psalm 27:13

I love that David didn't say he understood everything. He said he would have lost heart unless he believed. There are times when believing is what keeps us from losing heart. And I think that's important to remember.

If you're in a season where you don't know where you belong...
If you're lonely... If you've tried and tried and you're tired of trying...
If you're wondering whether things will ever feel different...
Please don't decide that the way things look today is the way they will always look. You don't know what God has around the corner.

Neither do I. And I'm okay with that. Because I've learned that I don't actually need to know everything God is doing in order to trust Him. Sometimes I just need enough light for the next step.
And then the next one. And then the next.

Maybe that's what finding our place really looks like. Maybe we don't find it all at once.

Maybe God leads us into it one step at a time. A conversation. A friendship. A church service. An unexpected opportunity to encourage someone. A door that opens. Another door that closes.
A season that lasts longer than we expected.

And somewhere along the way, we look back and realize that God was with us through all of it.

I don't know what the next chapter of my own story looks like. And maybe that's why I don't want to tell you what yours is going to look like either. But I do want to tell you this:

Don't give up hope just because you're not where you thought you would be by now. Don't assume that because something hasn't happened yet, it never will. And don't believe that an uncomfortable or lonely season means God has forgotten you.

Sometimes we're simply living in the middle of the story. And the middle is rarely where everything makes sense.

So if you're there right now, take heart.
Keep walking. Keep praying. Keep your heart open. Keep looking for the people God puts in your path. Keep being willing to encourage someone else, even while you're waiting for encouragement yourself.

And most of all, keep your eyes on Jesus. Because our hope was never supposed to rest in finding the perfect church, the perfect community, or the perfect circumstances. Those things are wonderful gifts when God gives them to us. But our deepest sense of belonging has to come from knowing Whose we are.

We belong to Him. And wherever this road takes us, He goes with us.

Maybe I haven't found my "place" yet. Maybe you haven't either. But I'm beginning to think that's okay. The story isn't over yet. And I'm hopeful about what God may still have ahead.

If you've been walking through an unexpected season like this, what is one thing you're choosing to hope for or trust God with right now?

I'd love to hear from you. Maybe your answer will be exactly the encouragement someone else needs today.

The Last Mile Is Holy Ground
by Roy Walden, Kingdom Life Ministries
There’s something sacred about the last mile of an assignment.
It’s the stretch where your faith is tested, your endurance is stretched, and your obedience is refined.

The last mile is rarely easy — but it is always worth it.

If you’ve felt tired, distracted, or discouraged lately, you’re not the only one. Every believer reaches a point where the work feels heavier than before.

But heaviness is not a sign of failure — it’s a sign of proximity. You are close. Closer than you think. Closer than you feel. Closer than the enemy wants you to realize.

The last mile is where the enemy whispers the loudest:
“You’re not making progress.”
“This isn’t working.”
“You should stop.”
“You’re not called to this.”

But God whispers something stronger — something steadier, something truer: “Finish what I placed in your hands.”

This is not the moment to question your calling.
This is not the moment to assume you’re behind.
This is not the moment to let discouragement rewrite your assignment.

You don’t need new strength — you need renewed focus.
You don’t need new ideas — you need continued obedience.
You don’t need a new assignment — you need to complete the one God gave you.

The last mile is holy ground. It’s where God breathes on what you’ve carried. It’s where grace meets endurance. It’s where obedience becomes breakthrough.

You are stepping into a season of divine completion — a season where God finishes what He started, strengthens what felt weak, and brings clarity to what felt cloudy.

You’re not losing momentum. You’re entering fulfillment.

Speak this aloud today: “I will finish what God has placed in my hands.” Let it settle. Let it strengthen. Let it align your spirit with Heaven.

Pick up my new book, Arise and Build, and step deeper into the strategies, encouragement, and biblical patterns that help builders thrive in community.

Arise and Build,

Before any building rises, someone has to stand on the ground and decide to begin. You may be standing on that ground right now — looking at the distance between where you are and where you know you are called to be, wondering whether the past disqualifies you, whether the present is too broken, whether the future is too uncertain to risk. It isn't. My new book, Arise and Build, was written to show you why. In this Spirit-empowered blueprint for Kingdom living, I walk readers through a ten-phase construction sequence drawn from Scripture — from clearing the debris of the past to occupying the territory God has prepared for your future. With pastoral honesty, prophetic conviction, and a builder's eye for sequence and foundation, Roy shows that the life God designed for you is not beyond reach. It is under construction — right now, in every season of faithfulness, one obedient step at a time.
The Builder has never left the site. Arise and build.

A Word of Gratitude for You
by Roy Walden, Kingdom Life Ministries
I want to pause today and simply say: thank you.
Thank you for showing up in these emails.
Thank you for reading each message with hunger and expectation.
Thank you for leaning into the encouragement, the prophetic direction, and the spiritual momentum God has been stirring through this journey.

Every time you read these posts…
Every time you sit with the words…
Every time you let God speak to you through them…
You’re participating in something bigger than a message — you’re participating in a move of God.

And if you’ve purchased Arise and Build, thank you for that support as well.

But more than anything, thank you for walking with me through this series, for receiving these prophetic charges, and for allowing God to work in you through each word.

Your presence in this community matters. Your voice matters.
Your obedience matters. Your assignment matters.

This isn’t just about a book launch — it’s a movement.
And movements are carried by people who show up with consistency, hunger, and courage.

You are one of those people.
I’m grateful for your prayers.
I’m grateful for your messages.
I’m grateful for your willingness to grow, to listen, to respond, and to let God shape you through these weekly words.

You’re not just reading Facebook posts — you’re living transformation.
You’re not just following a series — you’re following the Spirit.
You’re stepping deeper into your calling.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for staying connected.
Thank you for letting God speak to you through this journey.

Leave a comment and tell me one thing God has done in you during this journey.

Roy

In The Coming Great Awakening, Russ shares a prophetic burden carried for years in prayer: a season of disillusionment that will strip away the Church's comfortable self-reliance, followed by a wave of desperate, world-changing prayer. He speaks of a generation of young believers, unpedigreed and unafraid, who will carry the gospel into hostile places with nothing but conviction and obedience. He speaks of established churches that may resist what they do not recognize—and of spiritual fathers and mothers called to shelter this movement rather than control it. He speaks of specific regions—the American East Coast, London and the north of England, the Middle East—where he senses the fire beginning to catch.
