Prayer for Reflection
God of all the ages, in your sight nations rise and fall and pass through times of peril. Now when our land is troubled, be near to judge and save. May leaders be led by your wisdom; may they search your will and see it clearly. If we have turned from your way, reverse our ways and help us to repent. Give us your light and your truth, let them guide us; through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of this world, and our Savior. Amen. (“A Prayer in Time of National Crisis,” United Methodist Book of Worship)

Greetings to all this eve of Thanksgiving!
My devotional for today, said that giving thanks to God through our the day was a form of praying without ceasing. And here I am thinking, I am thankful that I am not in charge of the whole meal for tomorrow, only the rolls, which remain to be seen if they turn out as I am waiting for them to rise and the holy (deviled) eggs which did not cooperate and I am boiling 3 more. So I am very thankful that my house does not have to be spotless and the food perfect. Perhaps, all I really needed was to reset by reading my devotional. Here are the Bible verses: I Thessalonians 5:16-18; James 4:8 and Romans 15:13. Perhaps you too are in need of a reset. That is why I did not print the verses out. You will have to take a moment out of your busy day and find them.
Blessings to all and Thank you Lord for the time we will be spending with family and friends, may you bless us all with good health and fellowship. Amen.

Greetings to all! Today I want to share a prayer from Habakkuk 3:17-19. It is titled in my Bible "Trust and Joy in the Midst of Trouble".

"Though the fig tree does not blossom, and no fruit is on the vines;
though the produce of the olive fails, and the fields yield no food; through the flock is cut off from the fold, and there is no herd in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the God of my salvation. God, the Lord, is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, and makes me tread upon the heights."

So thankful for all my many blessings and most of all for my Lord Jesus Christ. May you all be blessed today! Amen.

Psalm 27:13-14 I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord: be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! The word of God for the people of God. Amen.

Greetings,
I do not post much or spend a lot of time on FB. I look at it mostly to see what is happening in Buhler that I might need to know about and to offer prayers where needed. Today my prayer comes from Jude. It is the benediction.
"Now to him who is able to keep you from falling, and to make you stand without blemish in the presence of his glory with rejoicing, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory majesty, power, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen."
If you are feeling down, picture Jesus by your side. Remember always that HE is with you no matter what happens in this crazy world.

Blessings to those in our community who have lost a loved one. Jesus is with you today, and with your loved one.

Blessings to all, Pastor Becky

Greetings to all. Fall feels and looks like it is here. The wind is doing it job and the leaves are falling. My prayer for you today is that your faith is soaring, and you are filled with hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. We have much to be thankful for. My devotional verse today told me that I need not fear. Isaiah 41:10 So do not fear, for I am with you, do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Our God is wonderful! May you be filled with joy this day that our Lord has made! Blessings to all, Pastor Becky
