MAY FUND-RAISER: May 31st is the last day for the Ladies Fellowship-sponsored fund-raiser for the New Day Pregnancy and Resource Center. The “Blessed Bassinet” is set up in the upper narthex to collect baby items and/or cash for this cause.

MEMORIAL DAY AMMO-CAN: May 31st is the final opportunity to donate in the ammo box to benefit the Lutheran Military Support Group (LMSG)—a group working to grow awareness of and bring Christian support to military members and their families.

Harriet Haffner, 93, passed away April 28, 2026. Visitation will be Saturday, May 30 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Buffalo. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM.

Harriet and Vernon Haffner were married September 14, 1956. They resided on the Haffner family farm located east of Buffalo. In addition to farming, Harriet worked for Buffalo National Bank in the bookkeeping department for over 30 years. Marlene (Spiering) Petersen, 93, passed away May 12, 2026 at St. Ben’s Assisted Living, Monticello. Visitation will be Sunday, May 17 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM, at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church, Buffalo. Funeral service will follow at 3:00 PM.

Marlene and Guy Petersen were married June 28, 1952. Marlene enjoyed many fellowship gatherings and loved to socialize. She was an avid volunteer for the Wise Penny Thrift store for over 30 years. Marlene was a soloist for many weddings and funerals throughout her life. She was well known for making her famous strawberry pies. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
