God's Hands

God's Hands There was a need for our Deaf / HOH family and friends to be able to attend church and discover the love of Jesus and what His gospel is all about.

This was our calling, to communicate the living word in a way that was easily understood in their language.

As the earth emerges with pastel blooms and stretched sunlight, Easter is approaching. Nature reminds us so beautifully that resurrection season is upon us. And the 1933 hymn of Alfred Henry Ackley's still echos through my memory as I hear my saintly mother's dear voice singing,

"I serve a risen Savior,
He’s in the world today;
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say;
I see His hand of mercy,
I hear His voice of cheer,
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.

He lives! He lives!
Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me, and talks with me
Along life’s narrow way.
He lives! He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within my heart!"

Just read those lines of verse one and the chorus of this sacred hymn! Let the words pe*****te your soul. And not simply for the sake of sounding like Easter morning, rather for the sake of sounding like living with every new morning!

"You ask me how I know He lives:
He lives within the my heart!"

I Heard the Bells ~ Casting Crowns

Enjoy and be blessed! Merry Christmas! This time of year we celebrate the gift of love that was given to us so long ago in a manger in Bethlehem.

The birth announcement was sent out to all the world. The first to be told--Shepherds! It wasn't Kings, Pharoahs or anyone of royalty or high status!
God could have sent the announcement any way He wanted, but he chose Shepherds. God doesn't honor anyone the same way the world does. The kingdom operates up side down. He chooses faithfulness over being famous; He doesn't pick those who are climbing "the corporate ladder" but rather those who will humble themselves and think of others over themselves.
He chose shepherds because they lived with their flocks. Day and night. Watching for the slightest movement of a predator. Watching for the hard headed sheep who didn't want to stay in the group and would go wondering off. The shepherds were the low man on the totem pole as far as status, but they were the first told of the good news and they would be the first to see the newborn king!
No matter where you are in life, do everything to the best of your ability. Be devoted, be faithful. Don't be discouraged. God sees!! HE KNOWS! Little is much and God rewards greatly. 1 Corinthians 1:28 God CHOSE things despised by the world, things considered as nothing at all, to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
Be blessed and know you are favored!!
