What a Mess! Vacation Bible School continues at Metropolitan UMC. The children learned their memory verse: 1 John 3:1 “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” Our bible story was the prodigal son. No matter how much we mess up, God loves us still wth a lavish love and welcomes us home. We had fun playing Chalk It Up and throwing balls of colored chalk at each other, with some recreation time left for Four Square. A favorite Arts and Crafts creation today: SLIME!! What a mess!

It was our first day of WHAT A MESS Vacation Bible School at Metropolitan UMC! Our bible story was the rich young ruler who really wanted to follow Jesus but couldn’t let it all go. Jesus looks at us with so much love even when we mess up. The children recited their memory verse: Romans 5:8: “Even while we were sinners, Christ died for us.” Our recreation game was a Laundry Day Relay. What a mess!
