It has been so nice to see all of our Newman friends at 10:00 a.m. Mass at Assumption. Everyone there has been so kind and welcoming. The Community Council wanted to share a few things concerning our transition to Assumption:

Checks and Correspondence by Mail:
Austin's office is being relocated to the rectory at Assumption. While checks will continue to be made out to the Newman Center without change, the mailing address is now as follows:

Buffalo State Newman Center at Assumption
435 Amherst Street
Buffalo, NY 14207

For those who have payments sent by their financial institution through the mail, please be sure to update the mailing address with the institution.

Donations:
To avoid confusion and misplaced donations, there are now be envelopes for the Newman Center available at Assumption to enclose your donations. These specifically state they are for the Newman Center. Envelopes are located on the table next to the bulletins toward the front left of the church near the musicians, organ, and piano. Alternatively, you can put your donation in your own envelope and write "Newman Center" and put it in the offering basket at Mass. If a cash donation is put in the basket without any envelope denoting it is for Newman, it will not be credited to Newman.

Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers:
If you are a lector or eucharistic minister and wish to serve at 10:00 a.m. Mass at Assumption, please send me an email (and copy Austin) so we can communicate this to Assumption and work with their staff to get on the schedule.

!Attention, alumni!
What has happened to you post-college, post-Newman Center? The Newman Center wants to hear from you! We are forever grateful to have accompanied so many students throughout the years. Our ministry exists to support the students, alumni, faculty, and staff of the Buffalo State community. Let us know how you are doing at [email protected], and if you wish, we will post your update on our NEW alumni page of our website.

If you can attest to the positive impact that the Newman Center has had in your life, and are in a position to do so, please consider a tax-exempt donation to the Newman Center? All funds go directly to our current student activities such as Thursday Dinners, Scripture Study, Retreats at the Abbey of the Genesee, trips to Niagara Falls, monthly service opportunities, and other fellowship activities. All checks can be made payable to the Newman Center and mailed to us at 1219 Elmwood Ave. Buffalo, NY 14222
We greatly appreciate your support!

Sincerely,
Father Pat, Austin, & Jeannie
