Bible verses about praying for those in authority
The importance of prayer for our leaders:
When we think about praying for those in authority, it's essential for us to realize how vital this act of is in our faith walk. God has placed leaders in various positions for a reason. by praying for them, we show our trust in God's sovereignty and His ability to guide them. we often face challenges that can be alleviated or resolved when our leaders have the wisdom they need to lead us effectively. through our prayers, we unlock heavenly support for the decisions that affect not only us but our families and communities as well. Remember when we pray for our leaders, we are essentially lifting our society before God and asking for His guidance and grace to rest upon them.
1 Tim.2:1 "I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them.

Romans 13:1
"Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
Proverbs 21:1
"The kings heart is a stream of water in the hand of the Lord; he turns it wherever he will".

Psalm 75:7
"It is God who judges; He brings one down, he exalts another"

1 Peter 2:1-3
"Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human authority; whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority".

I realize that no matter how I think about some leaders, and I do find them suspect sometime, I will never stand against God's sovereign will that I should be obedient and pray for all governing authorities that we all may lead a good and peaceful life in the land of the living. My thought is I just want leadership that are righteous in their leadership and I pray for that. I ask Father God to raise up such leaders, to turn their hearts toward justice and mercy; and to strengthen their reslove in upholding truth. By praying for righteousness, we align our hearts with God's heart. It opens the door for God to work in the lives of those in power and can have profound impacts on society as a whole. our praying for uprightness is a stepping stone toward a better future."
Proverbs 29:2

I had intended on studying this evening, but my heart and mind went towards the current event that occurred with the young mother in Florida who was savagely beaten by a police officer; and I realized that we all are dealing with the government shut down and so many other things that are happening around the world. It is truly a trying time for us all. So, instead of coming on with my study which is about fleeing youthful lusts 2 tim.2, I felt the need to pray for our services that we need in our cities and communities; the Bible teaches us to do so in 1 Tim. 2:1-3. "Therefore, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet snd peaceful life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior. " We need to be mindful of this because the scripture is telling us, as children of the Most High God, that it please Him that we observe His will and to do it without questioning His will. God is responsible for what His word tells us to do. The action of correcting anything that the government or any law enforcement agent and the like are not our responsibility to correct or handle in any way. the church's responsibility is to pray that God's will be done. His word said "for this [prayer, supplications, intercessions with thanksgiving' is good and acceptable to him. So, regardless as to how we feel about what's going on in the world, let us put down our political agenda and obey the word of God and pray. Remember, 2 Chronicles 7:14 told us what God said "If my people who are called by my name will humble { Heb. Anavah] [to be meek or lowly] themselves , and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked [heb. rasha -ungodly] ways, then will I hear[ [shama listening, also means the Lord is near] from heaven, and will forgive their sins and heal their land. So, if we will humble, become lowly, ourselves, and pray[ heb. tefillah- self judgment of oneself. when a person prays, they examine their relationship wit God, leading to self evaluation and humility] we will be in proper alignment with God and his will. We will be blessed God will provide our needs and bless our obedience to His word. We need not worry about what is happening in thie country or the next or whether this is the end of all ends and Jesus Christ is coming at any day or time, our responsibility is to "Occupy until He comes as he told us". Let's be mindful that God's word is true and He keeps His promises. Blessings my friends.

A prayer for our law enforcement, emergency medical personnel, firemen,and postal workers.
Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus Christ's Holy Name. I ask You Lord Jesus Christ according to John 14:14 to forgive all people involved with Law Enforcement, EMS, Firemen, and Postal Postal Services, of all unforgiveness. Lord I ask you to give these people and their vehicles"traveling mercies" back and forth where ever they are today. I ask you to loose your angels around them and any passengers, to guard, protect and minister to them. Lord Jesus, protect these people, that no harm would come to these people who are serving us and our communities! give them each alertness, an awakened and sharp mind, with abundant energy, and stamina to go through what they are having to face, from the time they get up , till the time they fall asleep. Prepare them mentally and physically to handle each situation as it arises. Place them on the hearts and minds of your Intercessors and Prayer Warriors every where to stand in the gap and make up the hedge for their lives. I ask you Lord Jesus to shield, protect, and keep them from mental and physical injury, hurt, harm, broken limbs, bodily damage or trauma. Also protect their vehicles from other vehicles and community. Renew and refresh their souls and bodies as they go, that stress, fatigue, and bad health will not have any place in their lives. Lord Jesus, I request that you destroy all wrong words. Lord cause their minds to focus clearly to achieve each task set before them. Lord I pray that you restore, bless, and prosper their marriages. friendships, and families relationships. that they and their loved ones come to know you, your love, your mercy, your saving grace and come into an intimate and knowing relationship with the One True Lord and Savior , Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, in all these things according to your Sovereign will, to God be the glory Amen.
Lord, we ask forgiveness and salvation for those they transport, whether it be someone that is hurt, a criminal, or a co worker, we lift tjem before you. Lord help the injured get to the hospital in time, so they will live and receive proper life saving treatment! Heavenly Father I ask in Jesus Christ's Holy Name that these people and their love ones will be drawn to you, and come to your saving grace and knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ, and an eternal relationship with you. in all these things, Lord Jesus, we ask that lives will be changed through Law Enforcement, Medical Personnel, Firemen, and Postal Workers, to you be glory, for your kingdom Heavenly Father, forever and ever, your sovereign will be done. Amen

Psalm 91 Prayer: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High WILL REST in the SHADOW of the ALMIGHTY. I will say of the Lord, "Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from deadly pestilence. He will cover you with HIS FEATHERS, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. you will not fear the terror by night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor for the pestilence that walks in the darkness, nor for the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. you will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked. If you say, "If the Lord is my refuge," and make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; they will lift you up in their hands, so that will not strike your foot against a stone. you will tread on the lion and the cobra; you will trample the great lion and the serpent. "Because he loves me", says the Lord, I will rescue him, I will protect him,for he has acknowledges my name. He will call on me and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation." Amen
