The occultic practices of the Catholic Church?: Part 1 (Holy Thursday)
Somebody wrote that "if you want to see the occultic nature of the Catholic Church, join them these 3 days called the Easter Triduum. " That's funny, right! However, you can't blame him because nothing is as usual during these 3 days ( Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday). Today, we talk about the Holy Thursday.
1. Let me not talk about the chrism Mass where, at the middle of the Mass (after Homily), they bring in three different types of oil. As if that is not enough, they tell you that two of the three will be blessed and one will be consecrated.
Ah, what's the difference between blessing and consecration? I will not respond to that now. You watch the bishop add perfume to the oil to be consecrated (chrism), breath upon it and, in some areas, incense it at a point. Those are unsual. Let me talk of the renewal of promises by the priests.
2. Then, as you are digesting it, you go to evening Mass in your parish to commemorate the Lord's supper during which He instituted the sacraments of the Holy Eucharist and Holy Orders; Again, after the homily, the priest ties a towel around his waist inside the church and begins to wash people's feet. In the middle of the Mass????
3. Afterwards, he continues the mass as usual till after communion. He will not only empty the tabernacle and take the consecrated Hosts to another place (altar of repose), there is no traditional dismissal of the Mass. Before everyone, the altar is stripped naked. The sanctuary becomes ugly. Can somebody explain to me what's happening?
The silence hits hard, the atmosphere becomes heavy, the ugliness of the naked altar, the covered images on the sanctuary, and the emptiness of the open tabernacle send a very clear message: the Lord is nolonger there. He has been betrayed, arrested and now his passion has begun. Tomorrow, he will die for our sins.
3. But today, who betrayed him through sin? I mean, have you decided to move away from that old life (sinful habits)? Have you gone to Easter confession? It's not yet late. Remember, Easter confession and communion are part of the Church's precepts (commandments).
Make sure you participate actively and worthily at this Pascal Triduum (Easter duty).
Don't deny him like Peter!
Don't betray him like Judas!!
Don't runaway like the apostles!!!
Happy Feast Day to all ordained priests!
