Today, September 8, we celebrate the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring the birth of the Mother of our Savior. This beautiful Marian feast reminds us of Mary’s special role in God’s plan of salvation.
As we pray today: “Blessed are you, holy Virgin Mary, deserving of all praise; from you rose the sun of justice, Christ our God.” Alleluia!

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is Back!
Help your children experience the Sunday Mass readings at their level! Before the Scriptures are read, children (Pre-K and up) will be called forward for a blessing and led to a separate room for an age-appropriate lesson based on the day's readings.

What is Evangelization? What is Radical Hospitality?

Two weeks ago, I shared our family mission along with our top two priorities for the coming year. The question I have been asked is: what do I mean by evangelization and radical hospitality. This week I will speak to Evangelization, and next week on Radical Hospitality.

Evangelization is the sharing of the Good News (Gospel) of Jesus Christ with others. That means we share with other people why our faith and relationship with Jesus is important to us. Think of it this way. If we are excited about a relationship with a significant other, newly-wedded spouse, new child, best friend, or meet someone we idolize don’t we tell everyone about it? Invitations, gatherings or just bragging? Shouldn’t we do that about Jesus? He encounters our offering salvation, transforming lives and showing love, mercy and acceptance. That should excite us just as much, which means we want to tell the world!

I would hope this means we share why our parish communities are important with other people. More importantly, this means we invite others to join us at mass.

An invitation goes a long way. Ask someone to join us at mass or for any of our upcoming events. Remember, CCBN is a place to encounter and grow with Jesus! As we enter our fall programming, make sure our family mission is on your
calendar and if you have someone you want to introduce to Jesus, stay tuned for our Alpha opportunity beginning in October.
Keep smiling,
😊 Fr. Bryan

A Piece of Your Childhood Could Be Coming Home! 🏫❤️

We recently discovered 103 original school desks from Assumption School, and we’re offering former students and families the opportunity to own a tangible piece of their school-day memories.

Remember sitting at your desk, writing your name inside, sharing laughs with classmates, or simply dreaming about what the future might hold? Now, you may have the chance to bring one of those memories home.

If you or someone you know attended Assumption School and would love to own an authentic piece of its history, please email [email protected] for information on availability and how to purchase a desk.

There are only 103 available, so don’t miss the chance to own a cherished piece of your childhood!

Please share this post with former Assumption School students, families, and friends. ❤️
