Dear Heavenly Father,

Lord God Almighty, Giver and Sustainer of Life, we bow our heads in reverence, acknowledging Your infinite power and boundless love. With hearts full of hope and humility, we entrust the United States of America to Your gracious care. You are the eternal rock upon which this nation was founded, and it is by Your hand that our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are upheld. Reclaim this land for Your glory, O Lord, and dwell among Your people, guiding us with Your divine wisdom.

Send Your Holy Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Illuminate their minds to the inestimable value of human life and the solemn responsibilities that come with true freedom. Remind Your people that genuine freedom is found in love, unity, and the recognition of our shared humanity. Help us to cast aside hate and division, embracing our commonalities and lifting each other up rather than tearing each other down.

We stand in awe and gratitude for Your divine intervention and protection yesterday, O Lord, when those who sought to destroy our country were thwarted by Your mighty hand. Humbled by Your power and mercy, we give thanks for Your unwavering presence in our lives.

Heavenly Father, we lift our beloved country before You, pleading for the restoration of righteousness and integrity. May Your justice flow like a river and Your righteousness like a never-failing stream. In the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, we pray. Amen.

Mothers and stepmothers who step in to guide and nurture children deserve profound gratitude and respect for their unwavering dedication and love.

Moms influence shapes lives and helps build a strong foundation for future generations. It's a day to honor their sacrifices and celebrate their invaluable contributions to our lives.

I often find myself pausing at the keyboard, fingers poised and ready to share my heart on matters close to me—marriage, family, community, even politics.

As a pastor and a scientist, my role is seen through multiple lenses, yet often confined to either spiritual guidance or empirical analysis. This dual perspective, however, enriches rather than limits my viewpoints, providing a unique vantage point on the interplay between divine wisdom and human understanding.

Yet, navigating the discourse in a public domain like Facebook, where every word I post is *scrutinized* under the dual microscope of faith and science, becomes a profound exercise in balance.

I weigh now have to each thought for its truth, its impact, sensitivity, and its necessity, often leading me to rewrite or, sometimes, to retreat—choosing to totally erase my musings and keep them closer to my chest. Unlike you, the reader of this post.

This isn’t just about sidestepping controversy; it's about recognizing the delicate power of words and their reverberations when viewed through the dual roles I embody.

As a pastor, I am held to a celestial standard, expected to uphold spiritual ideals without fault. Ever. As a scientist, I am expected to present only what can be empirically verified, often discarding the personal for the universal.

But here is the truth: Real Christian pastors, particularly those who straddle the profound complexities of science and their relationship with The Almighty, are not monolithic.

We are multifaceted in thought, rich in conviction, and yes, sometimes conflicted by the intertwining of empirical evidence and His divine mystery. We strive, we falter, and we rise, embracing both our faith and our scientific curiosity as we navigate this journey called life.

I invite you to see beyond the pulpit and the lab, to the person who serves, to recognize that the ideals we discuss are the very ones we all wrestle with, striving to uphold in this beautifully imperfect world.m with beautifully imperfect people. Like me.

The current divisions in America are deeply troubling to me, and I think it's something that resonates with many of us.

Where Has Our Unity Gone?

It feels like America is more divided now than at any point in our living memory.

Everywhere I look, there are stark divisions—between ethnic groups, sexes, political affiliations, communities, and even within families.

Yes, there have always been challenges and less-than-ideal way to think or approach things, but today’s climate of discord is unprecedented.

Me being outspoken about the state of our nation often leads to harsh criticism. Speak up, and suddenly, you're labeled everything but a ‘child of God’. It's disheartening, to say the least.

Do you remember the America we grew up in? As Christians, we must not forget the lessons of the 1930s—a time when silence led to dire consequences worldwide. We saw what happened when good people -chose- to stay quiet.

Thats a stark reminder that we must engage, speak up, and strive for a community that reflects *our* core values of Jesus, love, and unity.

We are called to be lights in the darkness. Let’s not lose sight of that mission, even in these trying times.

Let's work together to heal and unite our communities, remembering that every voice can make a difference.

Living out my faith isn't about ticking boxes or following rituals—it's about the my relationship with MY Creator.

It's a 14 year journey walked in a sincere relationship with the Almighty, reflecting His love and teachings in every action.

Jesus taught me that genuine faith transcends outward ‘religious folks’ observances, focusing instead on truth, compassion, humility, and most of all LOVE. Let's embrace a life that mirrors these values, impacting our world one heartfelt choice at a time.

What are the symptoms of panic attacks?

Panic attacks can have many symptoms, including:

Sense of danger or impending doom
Fear of losing control or dying
Pounding or racing heart
Hyperventilation (rapid, shallow breathing)
Nausea or abdominal cramping
Dizziness or lightheadedness
Shaking or trembling
Chest pain
Sweating

In addition, people who have had panic attacks can develop a persistent fear of experiencing another one. This can negatively impact quality of life, if individuals avoid situations or places where panic attacks have occurred in the past.
