Encouragement in the Face of Adversity

Yesterday's sermon from Acts 18 reminds us that God provides encouragement in unexpected ways:

• Through Christ-honoring friendships
• In seeing progress, even when it's slow
• By His constant presence - "I am with you"
• Even through hardships that reveal our true character

Remember, a lack of immediate results doesn't mean God isn't working. He moves on His own timeline. Whatever you're facing, take heart - God is with you, strengthening you for the journey ahead.

"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." - Joshua 1:9

The Gospel Changes Everything 🙌

In Acts 16, we see three powerful encounters that show how the gospel of Jesus Christ radically transforms lives:

• A wealthy businesswoman's private seeking becomes public faith
• A slave girl is freed from demonic oppression
• A jailer on the brink of su***de finds hope and salvation

The message is clear: When we encounter Jesus, we are never left unchanged. His grace either softens our hearts or hardens them. Which will you choose today?

'Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved.' - Acts 16:31

Has the gospel changed YOU? If not, it's time to let go of what you're trusting in and place your faith in Christ alone. He is the way out of brokenness and into new life!

"Grace Alone: The Cornerstone of Our Faith"

This week's sermon delved into Acts 15 and the pivotal Jerusalem Council. We explored how the early church grappled with a fundamental question: Is faith in Christ alone sufficient for salvation?

Key takeaways:
• Faith in Christ alone is all we need for salvation - nothing more, nothing less.
• The law shows us our need for a Savior; it was never meant to be our Savior.
• Our freedom in Christ should never come at the expense of causing others to stumble.
• The unity and health of the body of believers is more important than our personal desires.

Remember, Christ's sacrifice is enough. Rest the full weight of who you are on Him, not on a prayer or ritual. Let's live out our faith in a way that builds up our brothers and sisters in Christ.

'But we believe that we will be saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they will.' - Acts 15:11

Join us next Sunday as we continue our journey through Acts!"

Be Bold. Be Courageous. Stay the Course.

In Acts 14, we see Paul and Barnabas demonstrating extraordinary courage in the face of persecution. They were willing to endure suffering to spread the Gospel, even returning to cities where their lives had been threatened.

Their example challenges us: What lengths are we willing to go to for the sake of Christ? Are we pursuing the transformative Christ of the Bible, or settling for a comfortable cultural Jesus?

Today, let's commit to:
1. Being bold in sharing our faith, even when it's difficult
2. Enduring hardship for the Gospel's advancement
3. Worshipping the true Christ, not an idol of our own making

Remember, through Christ, we too can overcome. Let's live courageously for Him today!
