🧭 True north is a fixed point on Earth's globe. Unlike magnetic north, true north is unmoving, unchanging, reliable, resolute.
🌎 This past week children explored how easy it is to lose sight of what's true in our wild world today and learned that Jesus is our true north!

🏔️We can trust him to be a faithful friend when life's journey gets lonely. We can rely on his unchanging love through life's ups and downs. We can turn to Jesus' comforting words of hope when the world feels cold and dark.

✝️It's our prayer that True North will help everyone to trust Jesus in our wild world wherever he leads us.

🧭 When we need hope we can trust Jesus.

🏔️ Hope is like a little spark in your heart that believes something good will eventually come. However, sometimes hard things happen and then our hearts get hopeless and we don't feel that joy or excitement anymore. We can't change hard times or make them go away when we want them to. Our hope doesn't need to be in things that happen; our hope can be in Jesus-the hope of all the world. Jesus may not take away our hard times, but he promises to be with us and help us through them. We can remember Jesus, His love for us, and all He went through so we can be his forgiven and forever friends. Remembering Jesus sparks a little hope-even in dark times. And that hope helps us trust that thanks to Jesus, something good will come someday.

🩵 Jesus, we lift our eyes with hope. We look forward to the good things you have for us because we are your children. Thank you that we can have hope because of your death and resurrection. Because of you, we look forward to living forever with you. We pray for our children to have open hearts to begin a friendship with you and find the hope you offer. In Jesus' name, amen.

🏔️ What are some ways you can help others this week if you notice them struggling?

🩵 Jesus, we're thankful that you are powerful when we are not. Thank you for helping us do hard things. Show us how we can share your care and love with others when they feel powerless. In your name we pray, amen.
